TCP Tuesday 217--Who's That Behind Those Foster Grants?
Well, today I have this week's weekly installment of the TCP Tuesday Challenge from The Cat's Pajamas. And it's only Wednesday, how 'bout that? Julie is our Hipster Hostess with the Mostess and her future's so bright, she's making us use these shades for the shape of our card this week. (The template can be found HERE in the TCP forum over on Splitcoast.)
So I must say, this was so out of my comfort zone to make this, but I really wanted to give it a try. I just printed the PDF onto my cardstock and cut it out of some bright green cardstock (and just FYI..Julie has been playing around with a Silhouette cutting file for you too. Just let her know you'd like that also in our TCP forum.).
I had those cartoons pictured in my head where someone is in love and hearts come popping out of their eyes like this.
So I used the Heart Trio CutUps dies to make the hearts pop out along with a sentiment from the Feelin' Cupidy stamp set and just tied some Peppermint Divine Twine around the middle and left the strings really long. Then I overemphasized the bling and used some really big rhinestones on the corners and called it done. It didn't take long at all! Wouldn't these be cute pool party invites?
Ok well, I've got lots of creating to do today while the girls are at their friend's house, plus Eric's home for the 4th and he wants to get some other projects done with my help too, so no rest for the weary (weary only because we took a spontaneous trip to Winstar last night and we are tired!....tired of losing! Ha! We only lost $11!) All the details on how to play along and what's at stake if you do can be found on ALMA'S blog HERE.
SUSIE Q-TIP: When traveling just north of Fort Worth and going to Oklahoma to donate to the Indian kids, take note of how much more redneck the state gets, the closer you get to OK. Stop at a truck stop and listen to how they order their food at the Taco Bell/Pizza Hut/Bonnie's Cuntry Kitchen (NO JOKE)..."I'll have one of them there 7 layer "burritows" and a crunchwrap "soopreeeme". Also, the guy in the jumpsuit who hasn't showered for days is not to be trusted, and you may be able to spot him parked at the Adult Video store just south of the border.
