June Sketch For You To Try
Well, I was entirely too tired to write this blog post last night, so ya'll are getting a little piece of me first thing this morning. We were supposed to go to a graduation this morning, but I'm trying to shake off a headache before it turns into a migraine, so we stayed home. It's going to be a "low-key" kind of day! I like those. I like them a lot. (Come sit.) However, there's nothing "low-key" about my post today. It's the first Saturday of the month and that means it's time for a new Sketch For You To Try from Jen! I like that. I like it a lot.
Our sponsor this month is one of my most favorite stamp companies--Lil' Inker Designs with A.G. Designs. Their stamps are one of a kind and the dies are always perfection! Laura, the owner has already said they are working hard on the next release--I can't WAIT! Hurry, Laura!!
Here's the June Sketch:
Here's a closer look at my little card. I will be going to a baby shower in July, so I decided to make a baby boy card. I hardly EVER have baby showers to go to anymore, as all my friends are done having babies, but this is for a friend who's becoming a grandma! That makes me feel old. Even the boy across the street who's graduating from high school today was only 5 when we first moved here (and pronounced my daughter, Shelbie's name as "Helpshie"--LOVE!)! I can't believe it.
Anyway, I was blessed to have gotten a couple of stamp/die sets from Lil' Inker for this month's SFYTT, including the one I used here, Rainbows and Clouds. I just love how the clouds have the little indention of stitching around them. I lifted the idea to put the bling on them from Jen. She's good like that.
Ok, well I've had my orange juice, but now I'm starting to get hungry for breakfast, so I better go have my usual English Muffin with Fig Preserves (YUM) on it and feed this headache before it turns ogre-like. I don't like that. At all.
Our newest Guest Designer is the fabulous, Julie Elak, who is sure to be a rising papercrafting star!!! Learn a little bit about her over on Jens blog! Also don't forget there's a lot more inspiration to love from my SFYTT sisters:
SUSIE Q-TIP: Don't forget that ya'll can double stack foam dots for extra height and dimension. The smaller clouds on my card are popped up on a double stack. Now I want a hamburger.
