Peaceful Verve

Well, I finally got a chance to blog again. My allergies to everything flying around in the air really got to me the rest of last week and I even lost my voice the week before. I was miserable, having to be outside every day for the girls' soccer practices, so something had to give. I didn't do much crafting, but DID do much sniffling. So I decided I had to make a change. I switched to Zyrtec. O.M.G.! Why have I not done this before? I feel SO much better! Now if it could only rain and get some of this stuff in the air knocked down to where I don't need it every day!

Anyway, I wanted to come at ya'll with another little card I did for Verve. This is the other sympathy card I did and mentioned in THIS post for a sweet lady that comes to Scrapper's Boutique all the time. I kept it pretty simple, again with those "quiet", more muted colors. I only needed to use one stamp set this time, as it had just the right elements and sentiment included--New Mercies (it's THE BEST sympathy set ever!), and accented them with some flowers I cut from felt using the Loopy Blooms Die set. (And OH MY, look at those naked buttons!)

I have big plans for my blog this week...first up is tomorrow's Blog Hop from Your Next Stamp. Stay tuned!

SUSIE Q-TIP: Before you start sewing, make sure that you have put it back to "straight" stitching after you had done a little zig-zagging the night before. It will surprise you when the needle jumps side to side, and at that point, there's little you can do but just go with it. Don't ask me how I know this. I don't want to talk about it.
