March Sketch For You To Try

Well, good morning friends! I'm writing this post this morning and I'm still a little bit sleepy, so I might have been dreamin' when I wrote this, forgive me if it goes astray. No I wasn't partying like it was 1999 last night, Jen and I were at her house chatting just a little too late! Anyway, today is the first Saturday in March, so that means it's time for another amazing Sketch For You To Try from Jen.

Here's a look at the sketch and I'm absolutely giddy that we are being sponsored this month by The Craft's Meow! (Thanks SO much, Lisa!)

And here's a detail shot of my card. I went VERY toned down for this one with a clean and simple design, but still used a favorite patterned paper, a die cut detail from TCP's Big Scallop CutUps die and a few buttons.

I can't wait to use this set, Sew Lovely from The Craft's Meow again and really go "More is More" with my design...ya'll come back now!

Here's where you can find more FABULOUS inspiration from my SFYTT sisters. Jen has all the details on how YOU can play along, including a little bit about our newest Guest Designer, Rosemary Dennis and her awesome creation.

SUSIE Q-TIP: I was going to just put the buttons only where it shows the circle in the sketch. That didn't look right to me (remember, I'm still working on getting my CAS style going). I needed to back the buttons with a darker color for so they'd stand out, hence the brown circle. Basically, the buttons had to be "grounded". Bad, bad buttons.

Stamps: Sew Lovely (The Craft's Meow)
Paper: White, Dark Chocolate, Kraft (PTI), Lime Twist (MME)
Ink: Memento Black
Accessories: Big Scallop CutUps (TCP), Seeing Spots Embossing Folder, Circle Punch, Nestabilities, Buttons, Linen Thread (TCP), Jody Boosters
Finished Size: A2
