Snips and Snails x2 for Julee and Mark
Well, have ya'll heard the news? Julee and Mark (owners of Verve Stamps) are having TWIN BOYS! So today, we've thrown 'em a curveball (or would that be another curveball?) and surprised them with this AWESOME Baby Blog Hop to help welcome those sweet boys and wish their new little family nothing but God's best in the coming years.
My sisters, Nancy and Sara are twins (9 years younger than me), and I vividly remember my mom going to the doctor when she was pregnant and having a sonogram (the first one ever performed at this particular hospital in Houston). I obviously knew she was pregnant, but when she discussed the sono with me a little later and told me she was having twins, I exclaimed, "MOTHER"!!!, as if she had committed a cardinal sin by having TWO babies at once (like you must have done something awefully gross for THAT to happen--who knew...I was 8 at the time)! Anyway, of course I babysat A LOT and helped out. It was all fun until we went to the store and sat them each in their own shopping carts...did I mention my mom used cloth diapers? Stuff happened at that Buddies Grocery in Katy, Texas that has left me permanently scarred and I don't want to talk about it...
Moving on...If you'd like to see the blog hop in its entirety, Teresa over at Paperie Blooms has the complete list of all the blogs to visit today, or if you just got here from my buddy, Carole's blog, welcome! I can't wait to hop along and will definitely be doing that a little later, cozied up with my family--It's rare that I get to make baby cards anymore, much less see a bunch of them in one sitting! AWWWWW!!!
Just in case you want to know, I used an older set here, one that I ADORE, called To the Moon. It's essentially a baby set for either a boy or a girl, or I guess boys or girls, plural. Teehee! While I was making the little kites, I remembered I had these teensy teeninesy buttons. I got them from my aunt when I was about 8 years old, for making Barbie clothes on my grandma's sewing machine. That means they are at least 37 years old. WOW. I just had to use them. :)
Anyway, Julee and Mark and "the boys", Eric and I wish ya'll many happy years and memories to come. Just keep bearing in mind one of yours' and our favorite verses, 'Be still and know that I am God.' --Psalm 46:10. We know that one well. Everything is going to be okay. Pictures as soon as possible, please!
Ok, off ya'll go on to the next stop on the hop--Amy Sheffer!
SUSIE Q-TIP: I was going to stamp the kite-tails, but I didn't feel like there was going to be enough space for them. So I decided to make them from the linen thread I used on the other part of the card. I twirled them around a skinny paintbrush and held it in place while Eric sprayed hairspray and then blow-dried them like we did our 80's hair. Worked.
