Your Next Stamp Challenge #53--EEK!

Edited to Add: In case ya'll missed it, I have a second post today--The Just Keep Swimming Blog Hop for Katie Renz. Please be sure to scroll down after this post and Just Keep Reading!

Well, today is the first day I get to fulfill my awesome role as a Guest Designer of the Month for Your Next Stamp. It's time for the YNS Challenge #53! Amy Rohl is our challenge hostess this time and we're going all spooky on ya'll! Yep, this challenge is all about the tricks and treats--show us your best Halloween cards and projects.

I decided to use the Spider Digi stamp for my card and make him quite BIG! He's actually a "brown recluse"--my worst nightmare! It's kind of a joke for my mom. She thinks she saw a huge hairy spider the other night crawling across the front of her TV, but I'm pretty sure she was dreaming. (She's also the one who was petting the footboard of her bed, thinking it was Sage, our dog. I'm just sayin'.) We don't have any spiders of this magnitude in our neck of the woods! THAT I KNOW OF--if we do, I don't want to know! Lalalalala (covering ears). So I thought she would get a kick out of this card! Anyway, I just love how it turned out and cutting him out wasn't hard at all with him this large. How could you not love those little eyes!?

Ok, ya'll can find all the details about this challenge on the Your Next Stamp Blog HERE and be sure to check out Amy's blog HERE as well for some spooky inspiration!

We truly want ya'll all to play along using your YNS stamps and to help with that, Karen (the owner) is offering a little treat--1 free YNS Halloween Digi of choice to all our participants. All you have to do is email her at karen@yournextstamp.com to let her know you would like a Halloween Digi to make a project for YNS Challenge #53! How COOL is that?

SUSIE Q-TIP: To make eyes look shiny and give an illusion of dimension, partially line the rim of them with a light green or light blue color. It makes the whites of the eyes really stand out, too.

  1. Cute! Great design! I really love the buttons, papers, and, of course, the big, cute spider. If only they were this cute in real life.
