Baby Boy Verve
Well, Happy Halloween, ya'll!! How's everyone's costumes this year? Our girls are being a Genie (Audrie) and a "Back to the 80's" girl (Lindsie). I'll post pictures maybe tomorrow with my other BIG project I talked about a while back! We had a very busy weekend with my mom's estate sale--a LOT of stuff gone! And I'm still working on the SU! stamp sale stuff here on the bloggie. THANKS TO ALL of ya'll who took some of the stamp sets off our hands! (If you haven't heard back from me, don't worry, I'll email you soon, probably tomorrow when I'm on a sugar high.) For now, I have a CUTE Verve card for ya'll!!
I pulled out an older set, To the Moon which is one of my favorites, even given the fact I don't really do baby cards. I semi-followed the latest MFT sketch (MFTWSC43), but shifted a panel over to the left. I used the Verve Tagged Rectangle and Embossed Oval dies which complemented each other perfectly for the little tag.
Anyway, my brother-in-law brought over his little boy, Miles (he's almost 7 months old!) to the estate sale, and he was in such a good mood and happy, happy! So seeing my sweet nephew inspired me to make a little baby boy card. I don't do too many baby cards these days as I've run out of young friends having babies. That happens when you get old like me.
Be sure and come back tomorrow--the first of the month means it's time for another Verve Diva Inspiration Hop!
SUSIE Q-TIP: To make something "extra" dimensional, stack your pop-dots to make it sit higher on your card. It really helps when layering already popped up layers on top of other popped up layers. Then another popped up layer gets popped up on the popped up layer that's been popped up on top of the other popped up layer. Haha.
