TCP New Release Blog HOP and a TCP Tuesday Sketch
Well, welcome to the New Release Hop from The Cat's Pajamas. As ya'll are reading this, we are probably just getting back from the CIRCUS! Yes, I was so inspired by this SUPER FUN and oh-so-circus-y release that we decided to go clown around under the Big Top at the Shrine Circus that happened to be in town right now in Fort Worth. So I'm sorry I missed ya'll at the TCP Pajama Party! Was it fun?
Of course after every release, we have this swanky BLOG HOP that the Cat Pack combines with TCP Tuesday from The Cat's Pajamas. I'm second in the hop, so you should have come here straight from Leigh's blog HERE where the hop started. This time, it's Leigh's turn to be the Hostess with the Mostess for the TCP Tuesday Challenge and she supplied this fabulous (but a little scary) sketch for us to use! Here's a look at it:
Here's a detail shot of my card. I used the new PRESTO! set. I just love that little bunny and I have another magical idea for him up my sleeve that I hope to make a little later. I just couldn't handle the striped background along with the straightness of the square in the middle, so I made those panels wonky and rolled the corners of each of them. The star needed a little something extra to set the bunny off, so I added that white layer using the new CIRCUS PANELS CutUps die and added some bling.
Ok, I hope ya'll enjoyed this release and I can't wait to see what ya'll come up with using YOUR new toys!
It's time for me to pack up this circus and for ya'll to head on down the road to JEN'S BLOG, your next stop on the hop!!
SUSIE Q-TIP: When I cut the pieces for this card, I cut the inside square panels to mat each other. However, when I started putting it together, it just wasn't "fun" enough for me for them to be straight, especially against the striped background. So that's when I went "wonky". I really like how it turned out, with each square just a bit smaller than the other one, spiralling around. It made it to where the corners of each color was "inside" the next larger square for a clean look. Try it.
