Well, it seems like it's been forever since I posted a Viva la Verve Challenge card. I know a couple of months ago, I was able to play just about every week and I sure do miss that. So yesterday, when I sat down to stamp, I set my first priority on playing in Sankari's VLVJUN2011, Week 3 Sketch. Here, just take a look at this beauty:

Anyway, when I pulled out this older stamp set from Verve called Love's Flower, and saw the Love vs. Chocolate sentiment, I totally had to use it! It reminded me of my cries for "chocolate help" to Eric, who gladly stops off and picks me up a Hershey bar and we share it...one for you, two for me.
A couple of Verve-alicious things going on NOW:
1. There is still time to be a Viva la Verve Sketch Champion for June by completing all the sketches for the month (week 4 will be posted this Friday) for your chance to win some Verve-y goodness. Look for the Champions thread in our forum soon where you'll need to link all of your creations to enter.
2. Don't forget about the "For the Boys" Sale going on until the end of June. You'll save 15% on the selected stamp sets found HERE.
SUSIE Q-TIP: I'm a rule-breaker (Hi Jody.) as ya'll know. I mixed brown and black on this card. Free yourself and do the same.

Love all of the details and the stitching. Great colors and beautiful card as always! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a great card! I love the all the bright colors framed in black, and the littly gingham flower and white bow are perfect--they have just enough color to accent, but not enough to compete with the gorgeous depth of color in the rest of the card.
ReplyDeleteThis is SO gorgeous!! LOVE the colors and layout on this!!
ReplyDeleteAwwww- that is so sweet that your hubby would bring you home chocolate:) Mine would say 'that's junk food- you don't need it- it's garbage' he is wierd about food....he never snacks, hardly ever eats junk, but has no desire to exercise or get fit....Dude- get on one boat or the other. One of the 'sticker' drawers in my stamp room is actually filled with lindt chocolate;) Shhhh- don't tell! Oh- and love this card and Sankari's sketch is awesome!! I am using it on a TCP preview this week!
