Jen's June Sketch For You To Try

Well, here we are getting started on the second half of the year. The girls got out of school yesterday and hit the ground running with summer fun last night by getting a chance to swim at the neighbors house. Their eyes absolutely light up when they are asked if they'd like to! (Thanks Eric and JoAnn!) Makes the blow up pool I'm getting this year seem lame, but oh well, I enjoy lounging in it!

Of course since it's now the first Saturday of June, Jen has a new Sketch For You To Try. This month, our sponsor is Stamping Bella, one of the first stamp companies I fell in love with when I began my stamping craze. I have a lot of them, but I still felt compelled to raid my mom's stash (she has more than I do, and isn't using them at the moment) and use this sweet Bee-day Huggabugg (she may have to make it to a card kit at Scrapper's very soon).

I had to use more of my Echo Park Little Girls stash and then throw in the purple along with it. I made her wings sparkly with some glitter glue from the Creative Cafe. I've had/hoarded the purple ruffley ribbon from MFT forever and used it here for a soft touch.

Ok, here's a look at the sketch:

Joanne Basile is our Guest Designer of the month, so be sure and check out her "always sweet" style on Jen's blog along with the details on how you can play along. But wait, there's more! My SFYTT sister's have some other "BEE"-eautiful creations to share as well:
Amy Rohl
Amy Sheffer
Megan Lock
Amber Hight
Carole Burrage
Jodi Collins
Kelly Lunceford
Kerry Johnson
Terri Moore
Jen Tapler
I'm sad to say that my cool little friend, Sony is having to take a break from the team. She's up to her ears in studying, drawing and accomplishing her artistic dreams! Please stop by her blog and give her some encouragement!

SUSIE Q-TIP: I love using that stitched ribbon from Papertrey. It's fun to take one side of the stitching and pull it to gather the ribbon in a cute little ruffle like this one. However, be careful not to pull the stitching out altogether. Makes your ribbon real flat. Don't ask me how I know this. I don't want to talk about it.

Stamps: Bee-day Huggabugg (Stamping Bella)
Paper: White, Sweet Blush (PTI), Grape Jelly (MFT), Little Girls (Echo Park)
Ink: Brilliance Graphite Black (Tsukineko)
Accessories: Medallion and Circle Nestabilities, Sewing Machine/Thread, Copic Markers, Glitter Glue (Creative Cafe), Button and Aqua Mist Ribbon (PTI), Ruffle Ribbon (MFT), Divine Twine (TCP), Purple Flatback Pearls (Pizzazz Aplenty), Glue Dots, Jody Boosters
Finished Size: A2
