Diva Inspirations Blog Hop--Be Mine

Well, hi friends! Welcome to the first ever Diva Inspirations Blog Hop from Verve. Yep, the Diva Inspiration Team is going to have a fun little hop every month to get ya'll's mojo REALLY revved up and encourage all of ya'll to get your Verve groove on. More than likely there won't be any monthly theme, just us girls playing and having fun mixing it up with some old and some new Verve stamps! And ya'll know how that Julee is, it's not a hop without some fun prizes for her to give away! Ya'll should definitely start at the beginning of the hop over on the Verve blog where ya'll can also check out all the details on how you can win, including the official HOP LIST over on the VERVE BLOG HERE. By the way, have I mentioned that there are already some fabulous additions to the Diva Inspiration Team? You betcha! We've snatched up Betty Wright, Sony Cristoph, and Dawn Easton. You will surely find some Verve-aliciousness from them!

Ok, well let's get to gettin'! Have ya'll checked out the Viva la Verve challenges yet? For my card today, I used the first one for February that is posted HERE in the Verve Forum on SCS. It was a super easy sketch and I went with some bold design elements and a more simplistic style. For my older set, I chose Hearts on Fire from 2009. I paired it with the brand new Love Notes set and also used my new Verve A Cut Above die, Jotted Heart. I love the stamp that makes this heart like lined paper! I think I'll save this one and give it to Eric for Valentine's day. Don't ya'll think it could go "masculine"?

SUSIE Q-TIP: Instead of sewing on your card, try piercing it where you would have sewn it. This is great, especially when you're sick. You won't have to get up from your card making desk, scoot your chair to your sewing desk and vice versa. No heavy lifting while you're down for the count.

Stamps: Hearts on Fire, Love Notes (Verve)
Paper: Black, Kraft, Pure Poppy, Vintage Cream (PTI), Hollywood (Webster's Pages), Paper Girl (Girls' Paperie)
Ink: Brilliance Graphite Black (Tsukineko)
Accessories: Jotted Heart A Cut Above Die (Verve), Paper Piercer/Mat Pack, Button, Twine and Ribbon (PTI), Hot Glue, Jody Boosters
Finished Size: 5.25" Square
