A {Naughty} Sketch For You to Try

Well, I've been naughty all right. I neglected my blog AGAIN! I was all gung-ho with the new release from MFT, that I shot my wad with it and became lax the rest of the week! Actually, it was a busy week for me (my neighbor even asked me, "where've you been going all week, somewhere every day?"). Let's see, Monday I helped my mom all day get her car accident stuff squared away, then Tuesday and Wednesday, I had errands to run and Thursday and Friday, I got my hair done (haircut one day and then highlights the next). At least I wasn't bored! And at least I had time for a LITTLE stamping!

So now it's Saturday and what does that mean? Soccer practice, work at Scrapper's, a skating party and a sleepover for my crazy life, but FIRST we have Jen's Sketch For You to Try! In the spirit of being naughty, I am sneaking a peek of a new stamp set from The Cat's Pajamas before the official peeks even start. Tsk, tsk. I'm sure ya'll are going to be mad at me for it, right? Here we have that pesky bunny again in a set called Skating Bunny. I colored him in with my very DRY markers. They are getting a drink today at Scrapper's Boutique--we now have a Copic refill service! There's 12 new stamp sets being released on September 14th for TCP and some more GREAT CutUps steel dies. I used one here also. See the "broken" (thin) ice he's skating on?--it's the Small Pinking Edge (does that mean there's a large one, too? I'd be naughty if I told.).

SUSIE Q-TIP: For straight sewing lines, don't focus your eyes on the needle going into the paper. Focus your eyes on where the edge of your paper lines up, making sure to keep it going along that line. I keep track of how far away the edge of my paper is from the pressure foot or it the edge happens to line up with a line or opening on the base of my machine where the feed dogs are (the little jagged things that pull the paper or material through your machine). Oh and also, it helps to go fast until you get to the corners.

Ok, well Jen's been naughty too and has picked a "WILD" girl for the Guest Designer this month--TORI WILD! Now it's time to check out what my SFYTT sisters have come up with for this sketch. Naughty or nice, I'm sure ya'll will love what they've put together. Don't forget to play along and upload your creations over on Jen's blog:
