What Day is It?

Well, yesterday on Tuesday two weeks ago Friday, I made this card. Ok, not exactly. It just feels that way. I put this little number together for TCP Tuesday from The Cat's Pajamas, using the Mojo Monday Sketch for this week from Julee. And here I am posting it on Thursday. The story of my life. Why has summer gotten so busy all of a sudden? This week's challenge is co-hosted by Carole and Joanne, kind of as a transfer of power. Carole will now be wowing us with her "taken up a notch" color palette choices. But I ain't skeered, I like bright and bold colors, right?

Carole went easy on us this week with a pretty tame color choice of Kraft, Candy Apple Red, and Denim for our challenge.

So the minute I was given these colors to work with, I knew I wanted to make a card using the new set called A Whale of a Time as I thought the colors would definitely make a swanky sea-worthy card. I also used the Waves Cut-ups die for the water. The light blue border below the red part (supposed to be a scalloped border according to the sketch), is also the Waves die turned upside down, making the denim look like waves too. I'm clever like that.

So now you're saying (in your best Neicy Nash voice), "Oh Ms. Susie, how do we play in the TCP Tuesday Challenge?" Fear not, my kittens, here's all you have to do:

1. Each a week one of The Cat Pack will host a challenge.
2. The challenges will vary {stamp, technique, color, theme, sketch, etc.}
3. You will have until the end of the month to complete the challenge.
4. Post your design using the Inlink Button at the bottom of Alma's post. Your design must be linked and visible to Alma's post to be considered.
5. TCP stamps are not required, but of course, highly encouraged. {Unless it is a challenge calling for a specific stamp}
6. There will be one winner each month. They will be deemed that month’s Swankiest Stamper and get $25 in Cat’s Cash {money to spend on the TCP site!}.
7. Only designs posted to Alma's blog post will be considered for the Swanky Stamper.
8. The newly crowned Swanky Stamper will be announced on the First of the Month and have his/her winning entry posted on The Cat’s Pajamas website where he/she will reign for the entire month.

SUSIE Q-TIP: I used two sentiments from this set on the front of this card, but highlighted them in different ways. See if ya'll have any sentiments that "coordinate" and use them together for one card front.

Eric Update: We've been sailing right along with treatments all summer with really no problems. He had his last round of chemo on Friday the 30th. He's not been very sick from it all, thank goodness. Mostly just food and smell aversions this time. Then yesterday he had a PET scan , or as my mom likes to call it, his PAP smear (during which time I colored and can't wait to make the TCP project I have in mind for my little animals from the new baby set). We hope to have the results early next week. It should tell us if we can proclaim (from the rooftops) that he is cancer-free! So this weekend should be interesting, waiting on pins and needles for the news and what happens next. Hopefully port removal and subsequent check-ups ONLY! Oh and we can't forget about a steak dinner to celebrate. He's already mentioned that he wants that for sure!
