Well, welcome to the Anni-VERVE-sary Blog Hop! Verve turns THREE today and we’re celebrating with a hop, hop, hop! If you've already been hopping along, you arrived here from Wendy's blog, Scraps in Space. If not, head on over to Julee's blog (owner of Verve), for all the info on how to win prizes (after all, what's a party without presents?), and to start hopping from the beginning. If there's a hiccup along the hop, you can always head to the Master Hop List to get the full list of links.
I've loved loved loved THIS Tuesday Trigger from Cath's Moxie Fab Blog, well as you can see, ever since May 25th. I didn't get a chance to play for the prize at that time, so I seized the opportunity to work it out for this little card for the Anni-Verve-sary blog hop. I used Accent Notes for the medallions and an easy breezy sentiment from the awesome set, Celebrating You. Both two of my very favorites, but then again all Verve stamps are my favorites!
My card was super easy once the stamping was taken care of. Then I just went through my "funsies" and found stuff for the centers of each medallion (there's that blue again!). I can totally see making some tiny ones of these using only four images instead of nine. Oohh! Or tags with the four! I may have to play around and do that soon! Very fun! Here's something else that's fun:Be sure and leave a comment here on my blog to be entered to win the two awesome Verve stamp sets I used today...Celebrating You and Accent Notes!!! Also, Julee has a put ALL of Verve stamp sets on SALE!!!! Year 3 ~ 10% off, Year 2 ~ 20% off and Year 1 ~ 30% off!!!
Okay, so thanks for hopping by! Now it's time to hop on over to sweet Patty's blog, Tolecookie's Sweet Treats, for a little more Verve-y goodness. I'm sure she's got something awesome for ya'll to peek at. Happy Anni-Verve-sary, Verve!!
SUSIE Q-TIP: This card layout was a great way to use up some random embellishments. A little too random? Maybe, but I like it. I think the base colors pull everything together, so choose those carefully by using some neutrals. Don't be afraid to be mixy-matchy. I give you permission.
Stamps: Celebrating You, Accent Notes (Verve)
Paper: Kraft, Black, White (PTI)
Ink: Old Olive (SU!), Antique Linen (Ranger), Brilliance Graphite Black (Tsukineko)
Accessories: Sewing Machine/Thread, Scallop Border Die and Ribbon (PTI), Felt and Twine (The Cat's Pajamas), Chipboard Stickers (Little Yellow Bicycle), Polkadot Buttons and Brads (HL), Hot Glue, Jody Boosters
Finished Size: 5.5" x 4.75"
