A {Extra Love} Sketch For You To Try / Verve New Release Blog Hop

Well, Eric doesn't like to be the center of attention (unlike me), but when you get out of the hospital after 10 days, walk into a Taco Bell wearing your Lance Armstrong "Fight On" t-shirt, your Livestrong bracelet, no hair, pale, and a Superman cap on, you kind of tend to draw people's attention. So from across the dining area came a "How are you feeling?" from a stranger. In his best Batman voice (one of his vocal cords has been officially termed as "paralyzed"), Eric responded that he was doing ok and told me that he's finally been nailed as a Cancer Patient and that he didn't really like getting "that kind" of special attention. I told him it wasn't any special attention, it was just "Extra Love". Smiling at me, he agreed that was a better way to look at it--gave me warm fuzzies and made that quesadilla taste that much better. PSA: Please don't stare at the cancer patients, they are just waiting for "Things to get Better"!

So today's card serves 2 purposes--The New Verve Release Blog Hop--3 new sets! and Jen's Sketch For You To Try!

For the Verve hop, if you came from Teresa's blog, you're right on track. If not, head over to Julee's blog--that's where all the fun starts. She also has the full link list charted out over on the Verve Blog if you'd rather do it that way. Oh, and we’ve hidden a little prize for one lucky commenter along the hop, so be sure to spread a little comment love around as you hop! Okay, well, maybe it’s not so little. {grin} You could win the entire release, so let’s get hoppin’!

I love this sketch from Jen and combined with Verve stamps--greatness! I used the new "Blue Skies" set. The minute I saw it, I thought of Eric with all its uplifting sentiments that are full of hope and smiles--more warm fuzzies. I think it may turn out to be one of my all-time favorites from Verve.

So if you're ready to hop along, the next stop is Amy's blog where I'm absolutely positively sure you'll find something wonderful!

However, don't forget to play in the Sketch For You To Try as well, because we've teamed it up with Julee and Verve and she's giving away a Verve prize to a lucky SFYTT participant. Here's more inspiration for that from our SFYTT sisters:
