Well, it's a rainy day here in North Texas, but I'm milking it for all it's worth. It's a great day for staying inside. Eric is at work (I KNOW!), the girls are playing dress-up or spies, or whatever it is--Audrie has on a trenchcoat and needs her cell phone (a real one that's broken) and Lindsie has on a Chinese silk dress with the high collar and red lipstick. I'm not asking, just letting them play, so I can get to playing too (with my stamps and new goodies!).

But first, I wanted to post about a little something I made with stamps from
My Favorite Things for a couple of my friends and the girls' teachers. These were so EASY, that I made five of them for various people and occasions. I started by making the Mini Pizza Boxes. You can find
Jen's tutorial for them HERE on SCS . I've made them several times now and are super quick to put together.

I kept them super simple and just decorated the top with some fabulous Cosmo Cricket paper that I sponged the edges with using some brown ink. Who knew?--black, white, cream, gray, and BROWN would work? I die-cut the butterflies and the little schoolhouse shapes and glammed them up with some felt that I also die-cut with my Cuttlebug and a little bling from Prima. Here comes the
My Favorite Things part: I stamped the sentiments using the
Thanks a Bunch and
Clearly Sentimental About Birthdays sets.

For the Birthday one, I made a matching card. There's no stamping on the front, but the inside is finished off with another sentiment from the
Clearly Sentimental About Birthdays set. I just love that whole line of sentiments from MFT! Inside each box was a little brown tissue paper and a flower pin that I made from fabric similar to the ones Jen made
HERE. I love the black and white! (And cream and light yellow and gray and brown.)
SUSIE Q-TIP: When your kids are playing well together and you know they aren't getting in trouble, leave them alone. Eventually they will get hungry and ask for lunch. At some point you will have to get up and fix it for them. Drag this out as long as possible until they just whine too much. That way, they will be happy with whatever you come up with to eat, even if it's just a tuna sandwich.
