Well, it's been a
busy and momentous week around here. One third grade awards ceremony and two graduations--one kindergarten and one high school, the last day of school for everyone, an
MFT Release, a
TCP Tuesday Challenge (that I still need to post here), a
Verve project and what is hoping to be Eric's last chemo session all day yesterday. Today looks to be full as well, with me working/playing at
Scrapper's Boutique all day and then Jen and I possibly going to IKEA tonight. To be honest, I'm looking forward to relaxing a little next week even though the girls will be home for the summer. We have some really neat stuff planned, including a few home decor projects that I'm sure I'll be sharing here.

But for now, since it's Saturday and I managed to squeeze putting this card together in my jam-packed day yesterday (before settling in with Eric and a milkshake to watch The Hangover), I guess I'll share my
Sketch For You To Try card. I really like this sketch Jen gave us and I'm for sure giving this one another shot. There's lots of possibilities! I had the fabric ruffle leftover on my desk from another project I did earlier this week for teacher gifts (oh gosh, I need to blog those too!).

Since I was in a bit of a hurry for our "post-chemo" date night, I decided not to think too hard with this one and go for using just a sentiment from
My Favorite Things for the main image. I am loving
MFT's "Clearly Sentimental" line and this one is from the set,
Clearly Sentimental About Babies. This quote is one of my favorites--it's so true! I'm borrowing the coolest butterfly die ever from my friend
Stephanie and she is getting "antsy" to see something from me with one of these butterflies on it, so for a little girlie baby card, I think it works! (Hi Stephanie!)
Anyway, I'm tired and need sleep, so--the end.

My
SFYTT sisters have lots more to show you with Jen's sketch. Check them out right here before you play along, linking your creation over at
Jen's blog for your chance at becoming next month's
SFYTT Guest Designer. Look who got the nod this month--
Andrea Ewen--she's awesome!

Cut one set of "tails" off, but leave the other, making antennae for your butterfly.
Stamps: Clearly Sentimental About Babies (My Favorite Things)
Paper: Barely Banana (SU!), Cream Perfect Panels (MFT), Vintage Cream (PTI), Aqua Core'dinations, Ducks in a Row (October Afternoon)
Ink: Brilliance Graphite Black (Tsukineko)
