Verve-y Wednesday

Well, I just got my new stamps for the next Verve release in the mail. Ya'll are going to flip out over them! But first I thought I'd better show some more of my stuff from the last release. Yikes! My first project is a little coaster notebook that my friend, Jody made for me and I decorated it with a sewn and heat embossed (in brown) piece I made using the Accent Notes set. I added lots of distressing and I think it made the colors on this just pop! The flower accent was originally going to go in the lower right corner, but sometimes Lindsie, our 9 year old, comes in while I'm working and "discusses" my creative process with me and "coaches" me on how I could make something look better. In this case, I think she was right. I like the flower in the middle!

This card is one I did for January's Viva La Verve Challenge and totally forgot to blog it. I could have sworn I had, so if ya'll have seen this before, I'm sorry for the rerun (I didn't waste a lot of time searching)! Again, I used Accent Notes for this and found some fun paper that I challenged myself to use. I really like it, but never really "found its place" on a card. I like the colors together, but it's not my favorite ever. It totally almost got trashed several times! I guess Lindsie was at school or something when I made it, so I didn't have her creative input! (This reminds me of the movie, Ratatouille, where the mouse is the little chef that is puppeteering the guy who is doing the cooking!)

SUSIE Q-TIP: Use that patterned paper that you have been pawing over, but are a little scared of. I dare you. I double dog dare you.

I'm really tired and can hardly keep my eyes open, so I'm not going to post the supplies right now. Maybe I'll edit a bit later.
