Jen's Sketch For You To Try this week was a perfect opportunity for me to make a card I've been thinking about ever since she and I took a trip to a local scrapbook store and I saw something similar to this tree with the eyes on it on some packaging. I knew the spooky tree from Too Cute To Spook (My Favorite Things) would work perfectly for it! I heat embossed the tree in black, and I just needed to add the googley eyes and the sparkly rhinestones to it for a fun effect! I know it's kind of goofy, but I like it!
Anyway, I tried to be all domesticated, it just didn't work for me this week. There are still some things I'd like to do to spruce things up in here, but they are all "projects" and I'll have to make time to do them soon. If there is anything picture worthy, I'll share it here! Meanwhile, I've got to go spruce myself up and get ready to head off to a birthday party for my niece at the ice rink. I hope to blog again tomorrow and show ya'll something I DID manage to make for GLUE that I'm super excited about!
We'd love it if you played along in the sketch with us. Here's some more inspiration if this tree card just ain't doin' it for ya. (totally understandable):

SUSIE Q-TIP: If you don't like how your sentiment looks or it needs to be "reconfigured" to fit a certain shape, try stamping it out and cutting it up before adhering it.
