TCP Tuesday and Some Great News

Well, I spent most of the day yesterday, just hanging out with the girls. I also managed to upload a bunch of stuff to Splitcoast (I get so behind on doing that--Am I the only one?), so be sure and check out my gallery. While doing that, we watched Night at the Museum (the first one). It was the first time I had seen it and I have to say, I LOVED it! I don't know what took me so long to see it. Now I really want to take the girls to see the other one that just came out (or is it out yet? I don't keep up with that stuff so much). I didn't mean to make this post about movies, but while we're on the subject--ya'll HAVE to see UP! It was so cute, sad, funny, exciting and heart-warming. I don't want to give any of it away, but if you have been on the fence about seeing it, GO!

Anyway, I don't have a card ready yet for TCP Tuesday as I had to work on something else, but I wanted to be sure and help spread the word about it. Toni is the "Hostess with the Mostess" this week, so be sure and check out her blog HERE for all the details. Ya'll will love her inspiration photo!

And now for the GREAT news for all ya'll local DFW girls (and boys?): We finally have a new LOCAL SCRAPBOOK STORE in town! It's called Scrapper's Boutique and it's the cutest little shop in North Richland Hills right on Smithfield Road off Mid-Cities. Cherie has only been open since the last of May (why didn't I know that sooner?) and she is going gangbusters. Why? Because she's the only LSS this side of the middle of nowhere besides the big stores like Michael's and such. Personally, I'd rather support the small business owner. Be sure and check out her website and blog (she's still working on it) and give her a big hello and welcome. Space is limited, but if you're interested in crops, give her a call to reserve your space. Another perk? Jen will be teaching several classes there, including Copic and project classes. Me? I may dive into teaching card classes as well. So exciting! I hope you check it out.

Ok, well, I'm taking the girls today for a little treat. With it being "Tuesday Toy Day" at my house according to our "Summer Schedule", I thought I'd let them pick out something small at Target. Audrie HAS to have a fuzzy Pet Shop and Lindsie wants to see if they have any cool Hannah Montana stuff. They're so excited. (I am too. This means they will be busy playing with their new finds the rest of the afternoon and I can play with MY toys as well!)

  1. We saw UP and Museum at the drive-in last week, and I agree... UP was just adorable! Museum... wasn't as good as the first, but still pretty neat and historical. I found a lot of parts where I wanted to shout at the screen "just get on with it!" LOL Happy Tuesday!
