The Three Little Bears Stage a Grizzly Comeback

Well, sorry friends, but my blogging time has been little to none this week as I am getting a bunch of stuff made up for some new releases coming your way! One of them is for The Cat's Pajamas. Two new sets are making their debut on May 29th. This new set is called "Happy Camper" and contains the cutest woodsy animal images you have EVER seen! Jen had put a bug in my ear about somehow trying to get this little bear from that set to depict the "Three Little Bears" from the old storybook. So I hibernated on that idea for a while. I beared down and came up with a plan...and it was a grizzly one. I was going to have to "stage" this scrapbook page (gasp!! arg!!). Well, we don't own a copy of the "Three Little Bears", so we loaded up in the car and went to the library. We clawed through several books, and found all sorts of bear books, and at the last minute found the one we were looking for. (Who'da thunk there'd be a bear market on "The Three Little Bears"?) We came home, got our hairs all brushed and then Audrie sat down to "read". Lindsie got in on the action and helped with the staging of picture number two, creating a circle of bear books that they "casually" read while moving their bodies like the hands of a clock.

I snapped the photos, they went back to not-pretend-playing and I went to work. I have the neatest little mini HP photo printer, so I was able to print my pictures up really quick. After that, the layout came together fairly fast. I masked the bears in the oval, placing them a little higher and lower to make them look like Papa, Mama and Baby Bear. I stamped the lettering too, with TCP's very first alphabet set called "Nightie" (makes me snicker). Anyway, I love, love, love the way this turned out, even if it is "faked". I can barely contain my excitement for my next TCP project I'll be sharing with you (sometime next week). But for now, I'm off to hibernate on some more ideas. It seems to work....
