Whatchadoin' Wednesday ~ HO-HO-Slow!!!

It's Wednesday---Whatcha' doin'? I have a little pun on words card to show you today. Earlier in the week, we were issued a challenge over at Storage Units, Ink and More to create a holiday card using an older set that was not purposed for holiday greetings. Then today, the challenge for Whatchadoin' Wednesday is to dream of a "White Christmas" and create a card using 90% white and only a splash of color. So I cheated and combined the challenges!! (A girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do!) I had been dying to put him with my "made-up" sentiment, "HO-HO-SLOW"!! I used part of the "HO-HO-HO" sentiment from the All Holidays sentiment set and handwrote "SLOW" to mimic the lettering with a black Fine-tip pen from Creative Memories. The Santa hat is an old Michael's dollar stamp find and I added a fluffy white pompom to the top. I'm still debating about whether it needs a ribbon across the top of the card, but in the spirit of a "White Christmas", I kept it off for the challenge. I am bound and determined to not get all stressed out over the holidays this year, so this will be a fun reminder to slow down and enjoy the meaning of Christmas. Off to go bake some Christmas cookies to freeze until I'm ready to give them out!! Merry Christmas, ya'll!!

SUSIE Q-TIP: The black Fine-tip pen from Creative Memories exactly matches Palette Noir (Superior) and Brilliance Graphite Black (Tsukineko) inkpads. I use it to "fill in" not so inky spots when I stamp. It totally blends in and you can't even tell. Is it cheating? Does it matter?

Stamps: At a Snail's Pace, All Holiday Sentiments (Storage Units, Ink and More), Santa Hat (Michael's $1)
Paper: Real Red (SU!), Papertrey White, GP White, Runway Dots (Heidi Swapp)
Ink: Brilliance Graphite Black (Tsukineko)
Accessories: Circle and Scallop Circle Nestabilities, Swiss Dots Embossing Folder, Cuttlebug, Corner Rounder, Copic Markers, Silver Brads, Small White Pompom, Dimensionals, CM Black Fine-tip Pen
