Whatchadoin' Wednesday--Create a Scene!

It's already Wednesday, soooo whatcha' doin'? Wanna play in a fun challenge? How about trying our Storage Units, Ink and More Whatchadoin' Wednesday Challenge for a change? This week, the challenge is to "Create a Scene". It was so hard to pick out some SUINK stamps to use (of course, if you don't have some, you are welcome to use any others that will work), as so many of them from November's release would make wonderful "scenic" cards! It truly was an "outside the box" thing for me because I don't usually do these, but I assure you, this was so much FUN to put together that I know I will be doing one of these again! I ended up using Aspen, Santa's Little Helpers, and a Bonus set of Christmas sentiments called All Holiday Sentiments which you can get this month for free with the purchase of any 6 stamp sets! It's a great set, too, with a lot of hard to come by sayings. Check it out HERE along with the other November specials from Storage Units, Ink and More!
Would you call it cheating if I chose to cut out each element, rather than masking them? It did make for a little "popped up" effect after I put a few of them on Dimensionals. The fireplace was stamped first and then I drew in and colored the log paneling to make it look like this little snow bunny is staying inside where it's nice and toasty sipping her hot chocolate! I know that's where I'd be (after shopping in the ski village, of course)! We sure hope you play with us in the challenge for this week. If you do, please remember to use keyword SUINKWWC13 on Splitcoast so we can see whatcha' did!!

TIP: Instead of putting the "common" embellishment of three brads or baubles in a row to add interest to a corner of your card, put them in a triangular fashion just to be different (especially if you happen to accidently drop them on your card this way and you don't want dried up splotches of glue to show where you were so nimble).

Stamps: Aspen, Santa's Little Helpers, All Holiday Sentiments (Storage Units, Ink and More)
Paper: Chocolate Chip, Real Red (SU!), Papertrey White, GP White, Just Delightful Chillin' 2 (My Favorite Things),
Nana's Nursery Baby Girl (DCWV)
Ink: Palette Noir (Superior)
Accessories: Scallop Circle Punch, CM Circle Punch, 1 3/8" Circle Punch, Dimensionals, Solid White Embellashments (Stamping Bella), Blue/White Gingham Ribbon, Chocolate Chip Grosgrain Ribbon, Copic/Prismacolor Markers, Mini Scallop Oval Punch (Marvy), Cutter Bees, CM Black Fine-tip Pen
