Holding--#7--Offense, Penalty Declined, FIRST DOWN!!

I hear that quite often, now that we have ESPN, ESPN1 through 1000, ESPNews, the Big Ten Network and the NFL Network, especially this time of year. I KNEW that would happen if we got digital TV! You could say that my husband, Eric, is a football fanatic. He watches it on TV every chance he gets, is 5-0 in his Fantasy Football League (the Roaring Rabbits--don't ask), and he goes every Friday night during football season to the local High School games and writes news stories for the Dallas Morning News and the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, recapping what he saw, as he sat in the Press Box eating free buffalo wings. He even gets paid for it!! So when I saw this football set called First and Goal from Storage Units, Ink and More, I knew I needed it to encourage/tease my husband about his fanaticism/passion! With one of his favorite matchups coming up this weekend (GO TEXAS!!), I decided to use it for this week's Whatchadoin' Wednesday Challenge for SUINK and More. (I'm just kicking myself that I didn't color the little football player's uniform as a UT jersey, but I refused to color and cut out another one!) The challenge is to make an invitation. That's it! Any type of invitation will do! Mine's for a Tailgate Party. Wouldn't these be so cute for a little boy's football team end of year party!? I started with a manilla tag I had leftover from my banking days (to tag bags of coin). I distressed the edges and then crumpled it up and buffed the entire thing with my inkpad a little more. I then matted it with Chocolate Chip and built it up from there, using Kiwi Kiss and Tangerine Tango, so I could combine this challenge with the SCS Color Challenge for this week--CC187. The date/time/etc. stamps are from the It's My Party set also from SUINK and More. The colons on each word were little hearts, but I just took a black pen and made them into dots after I stamped it (kinda had to in this case). This was so fun to make, maybe I will go back and do one for Texas/OU weekend if I get a chance! Oh, Eric just walked over to me as I'm writing this...ope!! Hey, that's illegal use of hands, buddy!! I'll decline the penalty....wink!!

We wantcha' to play in our challenge too! Make an invitation of any type and post it to SCS using keyword SUINKWWC9, so we can be sure and see everyone's creations in one happy place!

TIP: Jen always tells me that she has no problem cutting her clear stamp sentiment phrases up so that she can use them however she pleases. I finally did it tonight. The date/time/place/rsvp stamp was all one stamp and really too close together for my liking for any invitation. I did the deed and cut it apart! In this case, I also just placed the stamp sticky side up where I intended the words to go on my paper and then pressed my block onto the stamps as they were still laying on the paper. That made for perfect placement and saved me time by stamping all the words at once.

Stamps: First and Goal, It's My Party (Storage Units, Ink and More)
Paper: Chocolate Chip, Kiwi Kiss, Tangerine Tango (SU!), Papertrey White, Manilla Tag, Graph Paper (Mead)
Ink: Palette Noir (Superior), Chestnut Roan Cat's Eye (Colorbox)
Accessories: Copic/Prismacolor Markers, Cutter Bee Scissors, 1/2" and 3/4" Circle Punches, Cropadile, Silver Brads, Twine, Dimensionals
