A little play on words today for ya'll to ponder. This little cheerleader accompanied by her doggie mascot is just screaming her lungs out for her team (The Indians) to win. Can't you hear her? Defense!! Defense!! I hope this litle card makes sense! (I rhymed.) Surely you've seen the football fans on TV holding up signs similar to this one with a big letter "D" on top
of a little makeshift fence! If not, well, there's always a first time for everything. Bear with me, here. I just had to try it "in card form" and what a better time to do so than for Storage Units, Ink and More's Whatchadoin' Wednesday?!!! The challenge this week was to use THIS PHOTO as your inspiration, drawing from it any way you want. Obviously, I chose the color scheme. I can also see polkadots in almost anything, so I found some on the little nightstands. The fence is a hard sell, but you can sort of see them in the shades on the windows in the photo. I pretty much had this idea in mind, even before I saw the inspiration challenge, but I think it works for it (squint your eyes real hard and you will see). The cheerleader is from the First and Goal set and I borrowed the little Indian hound to be her mascot on the sidelines from the new Giving Thanks set that I still need to ink up more of, both of which are from Storage Units Ink. The fence is handdrawn by me on white cardstock and then cut out unevenly and inked on each edge. The chipboard letter was heat embossed with red sparkle embossing powder--many coats!! Rah!! Rah!! Even if you still don't have any SUINK stamps, we hope you play along in our Whatchadoin' Wednesday Challenge. Post your creations on SCS using keyword SUINKWWC10, so we can cheer you and your mojo on!!!
TIP: When cutting out stamped images, it's best to leave a tiny edge of white around it. This will make it look more uniform and the black outline of the image will flow and hide any imperfect cuts you may make.
