SUINKWWC7--Hoot Me? Late?

Weeeeeeellll, maybe just a tad late, but it's just stamping, right? Don't mean to get anybody's panties in a wad! I'm sure ya'll can relate to having a few things get in the way of stamping--piles of laundry, dishes, dirty floors (I only have one bedroom with carpet and all my other floors are laminate, tile and concrete--can I just tell you how dusty they get--and to think all that accumulates DAILY in carpet!? Go vacuum--NOW!!), AND I decided it was high time to go through my 2 younger girls' clothes and get out their fall couture!! Here's a picture of just the Garage Sale Pile of stuff I pulled that no longer fits, is too stained or outdated (we do major handmedowns) or they flat won't wear.
I'm thinking about having a garage sale, but I'm just not sure. The last one was NOT worth it as we only made $100 from a 2-day sale between a friend and I, so we even had to split that up! So what do you think--.50 per item? I have a few more things collecting dust around here too (besides the floors) to purge as well. Am I alone, or do you just get to "that point" where you just want it OUT of here!?! That would be me. I'm on a "get rid of it" kick. Maybe I'll go through my stamps and stuff soon...hmmm... Anyway, here's my card for the Whatchadoin' Wednesday Challenge from Storage Units, Ink and More for this week. It was a lovely sketch challenge (see yesterday's post for the sketch) thought up by our new DT Coordinator, Mary Jo Price-Williams (Technostamper). She and Denise have put their heads together and have come up with some of the most fabulous challenges for the next few weeks. You don't want to miss them! Very unique! For this card, I used the super fun set called Bump in the Night from Storage Units, Ink and More. You'll need to hurry and pick one of these up for your Halloween crafties! I also combined this challenge with this week's awesome color challenge on SCS (CC185) to use Kiwi Kiss, Baja Breeze and Very Vanilla. Of course I had to add a little K & Company designer paper. Well, I have a ton more to show you that I was able to do last weekend, and I was tagged a couple of times, but will hold off on that stuff for another day or so! I'm so off my schedule!

TIP: When doing enough laundry for an entire army, it's a great idea once you're worn out from washing to make your last load a load of towels. That way, they can sit overnight in the dryer, and you won't have to worry about wrinkles. They're just towels! However, do not fall asleep on the couch amid the piles of laundry you already folded and leave them in the washer overnight (and then forget about them for maybe another day or two) in a steamy garage laundry room. They WILL stink like there's no tomorrow and you WILL have to rewash them. (I don't want to talk about it, but at least I didn't ruin them for good.)

Stamps: Bump in the Night (Storage Units, Ink and More)
Paper: Kiwi Kiss, Baja Breeze, Very Vanilla (SU!), K-ology Addison (K & Company)

Accessories: Mega Scallop Square Punch, 1 1/2" CM Square Punch, CM Circle Cutting System, File Tab Punch (SU!), Cuttlebug, Spots and Dots Embossing Folder, Copic Markers, Dimensionals, Vintage Button, Brown Polkadot Organdy Ribbon, Sponges

  1. I don't do garage sales anymore....I go to them, I just don't have them. By the time you launder (clothes), wash (dishes etc.), price, advertise and set up I find it just isn't worth it! I try to give away my kids' clothes to families in the area that can use them and the other items, I give to the local Good Will. If I have furniture or some big items I might change my mind.
Also, I have done the laundry thing too (leaving in the washer and forgeting them)! Been there - Done that!

  2. LOVE the Owl card - infact I have spent hours browsing your fab blog your card are beautiful

  3. Well, Susie, now I know why you haven't called me .... and thought you were mad at me for some reason!!! I need to do the same thing at my house. Thank goodness I'm off every week-end now (however, I used to use work as an excuse as to why I got lazy every other Sunday). Your card is wonderful. I need to do the sketch, though.

  4. Hey Susan. . .cute card!! Just wanted to say that I'm over in NRH and I just did what you did with all the kids clothes! I have three boys and went through them all and had day one of our garage sale today and will do it again tomorrow. . .but we priced them all at 50 cents each and they are selling! So, you may want to give it a try. . .if you have the time to do it! Good luck if you do!

  5. Try Craigslist! Get some picstures of all the items and sizes...and then post a FREE messaage. If it is worn than $0.50 but in our area we usually get $1.
