I'm Going to Verve All Over You!

Well, I think things have finally calmed down at my house, now that Monday is here. I'm going to try and get ahead of the game (for once) this week and go crazy and work on stuff that's not due 2 days down the road--imagine that! Why do I do that? I think I work under pressure quite well, though. It's just the fact that all the moons have to align and no curveballs can be thrown when you wait until the last minute like that. Not good. For instance, a little bump in the road today--Lindsie, my 2nd grader, is having to stay home from school with some sort of stomach bug. (And she was having such a good hair day, too!) I am hoping we all steer clear of what she's got. She's not having fun at all. Anyway, today is the first day of Sneak Peeks for the 5 new sets from VERVE being released this Wednesday, the 10th! Are you going to party with us? Check out the details HERE and we hope to see you there! Here's what I have to show ya'll! When I first saw this set, Abundant Blessings, I fell instantly in love with the flower images in it! I love that there are three different sizes, making it easy to cut them out (Hi Nancy!) and layer them in so many ways. I had a really hard time choosing how I was going to stamp it with so many possiblities: Stamp in black and color? Then, Copics or Prismacolor pencils? Stamp them onto colored cardstock? Make my own background paper? Sponge them around the edges? Emboss the outline only? Seriously!! Endless possibilities here!! So as you can see I used a couple of those methods and I really like the simplicity of my end result! Much more playing to be done with this set...stay tuned!! For now, blurf on over to the Verve blog and take a look at a few of the other Diva's Sneak Peeks and see how you can win your very own set. More peeks tomorrow over there and chances to win more stamps, too--very cool!! BUT WAIT--THERE'S MORE!! SWIM DOWN, SWIM DOWN!!

Stamps: Abundant Blessings (Verve)
Paper: Pixie Pink, Basic Black (SU!), Papertrey White
Ink: Positively Pink (SU!), Palette Noir (Superior)
Accessories: Oval Nestabilities, Cuttlebug, Copic Markers, Dimensionals, Pink Baubles (Michael's)

Ready for some more? I told you I was going to Verve all over you!! Here's a few more cards I never had a chance to show ya'll from the Verve August release!

Believe in Fairy Tales with an Acrylic Crown. Did you know I punched holes in that thing with my Cropadile? I was so afraid it would break!
Squirrely Thank You from Grateful Elegance. Goofy, yet serious.
Prayers for Jason. Yes, unfortunately, I had to use this one from Notes of Prayer. It was really gorgeous in person and he was a young and wonderful man.
Thanks a Bunch--Love the colors I used on this card with the Grateful Elegance set along with my K&Company paper--can't let that stuff sit idle too long!
Warmest Wishes (my least favorite, but it's not horrible!) from Artful Elegance.
Believe in Your Dreams, again using the Fairy Tales set. I was going for a Cinderella carriage, but you have to hold your head and stick your tongue out just right for you to see it. Kind of like those "illusion--find the picture as you go crosseyed" type of pictures. I still adore this card! Once again, I'm getting lazy on ya'll and am going to ask that you visit my VERVE gallery if you would like a look at the supplies I used for all these puppies!

TIP: When layering colored flowers, go for a lightest (top layer)
to darkest (bottom layer) color scheme and see how well it pops!
