Did You Get Your Verve On Yet?

Sorry I've been a little absent the last couple of days. Here's the brief synopsis: My dad called a couple of days ago to let me know he had a heart attack the week before and didn't bother to call anyone while he was in the hospital for 5 days. He's going to be ok and through all of this has decided to finally own a telephone after almost 20 years without one. We all had a big scare, and are thankful he's ok. The next day, I fell down on my front porch, tripping on the step and scraped my knees, bruised my palms, elbow, shoulder and finally my cheek (on my face and managed to keep my glasses intact)! I proved the theory that "Something in motion tends to stay in motion" quite well, until they smack the concrete. I'm a bit sore. Anyway, I think all's going to be fine.
So here are the rest of the cards I made for Verve's September release. Did you get some of these fabulous new sets yet? They are GREATNESS! Be sure and check them out along with all the specails HERE. The top one I did as a pregnancy congrats card using the Black Tie Birdies---Enjoy your day, because tomorrow will never be the same!! I think this middle one is my favorite. It's a Happy Checklist! I used the sentiment set called So Happy, and sort of made it rhyme!! I also am loving that color combo!
This last one is from Some Bunny. Isn't he/she adorable? I added the little gift and the sentiment from Birthday Surprise and popped it up on a dimensional. I gave this card to my niece, Lillian for her birthday a couple of weeks ago. Try this layout, too. It was fun!!

TIP: When your flip flops are so worn out that they are really loose on your feet, you should replace them. They WILL make you trip and fall.

  9. Love the cards and your tip cracks me up! I didn't realize it the other day, but I went to put my flipflop on and my foot went all the way through and I fell over as I was doing it. I looked down and my 5 lb. Yorkie had CHEWED his way through the toe part and I hadn't realized it! Very valuable tip!! :) I found your blog on Dawn Easton's by the way and I've had several of your cards at SCS that I've favorited and been a fan of! Just had to leave a comment on your story!
