A {Cardinal Greetings} Sketch For You To Try

Happy Saturday, ya'll!! Once again, it's time for Jen's A Sketch For You To Try! I actually dreamed this card in my head and started right away putting it to paper (cardstock)! Jen had given me this new Cornish Heritage Farms set called Christmas Critters a while back, so I decided today would be a good day to cut them up and break them out! I used the Pretty Pattern Backgrounder from CHF as well on the squares, cut the birds out and popped them up with dimensionals. I've decided I have an addiction to these things. If there is ever a challenge to NOT use them somewhere, let me know and maybe I can break the habit! In Jen's sketch HERE, the star is meant to be any kind of embellishment. I chose to use a clear snowflake, a felt flower, some scrapper's floss, a button and a little bit of this tinselly stuff I had. I thought it sort of looked like bird's nest findings if they were to decorate for Christmas. Can't you hear them singing, "Peck the halls with tinsel and feathers, Falalalala lalalala"?

Don't forget to check out the rest of the flock's blogs for more SFYTT (your keyword on SCS) samples and get to feathering your nest!! Shannan, Amy R., Amy S. and Carole.

TIP: Scale down on the layering every once in a while and just swipe the edges of your "card pieces" through an inkpad for a little outline.

Stamps: Christmas Critters, Pretty Pattern Backgrounder (Cornish Heritage Farms)
Paper: Real Red, Chocolate Chip (SU!), Papertrey White, Tres Jolie (My Mind's Eye)
Ink: Chocolate Chip (SU!), Palette Noir (Superior)
Accessories: CM Square Punch, CM Oval Cutting System, Threading Water Scallop Punch (Fiskars), Vintage Buttons, Felt Flower (Making Memories), Snowflake Ghost Shape (Heidi Swapp), Scrapper's Floss (Karen Foster), Tinsel Thread, Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Copic Markers
