Watchadoin' Wednesday

Starting today, Storage Units, Ink & More will be hosting a Whatchadoin' Wednesday Challenge. Every Wednesday morning, stop by the SUINK blog to see what the challenge will be. Then, when you are done with your creation, leave a comment with a link to what you have created on the SUINK blog so we can all see. Sound like Fun?
This weeks challenge...use your EMBOSSING FOLDERS...If you upload to Splitcoast, use keyword SUINKWWC1. We are just getting started this week, but stay tuned and get your mojo going, as some weeks there will be prizes involved!! So I used my Swiss Dots Cuttlebug embossing folder on some cool orangey Core'dinations cardstock. I then lightly sanded the raised dots and it really lightened them up!! So cute!! I knew it would be a perfect way to jump into the SCS189 Sketch Challenge for today, as well as the TCPTUES20 challenge from Tuesday that Jen came up with (inspiration--make a birthday card--It's her birthday today!! HB, Jen!). So wow, it's a 3-fer!! I had colored this cute little banner from the Storage Units, Ink and More set called It's My Party back when we went to Hotel California and had been dying to do something with it. As you can see, I cut it out. What you may not be able to discern is that I sort of "poofed out" the banner by bending it a little bit forward and only attached it with the flowers and brads to the cuttlebugged panel. It looks as if it's blowing in the breeze!!
So has it even crossed your mind that you are looking at this Whatchadoin' Wednesday post either reeeaaally late tonight (Wednesday) or actually your'e just seeing it on Thursday? It's because I was reeeeaaaally late on posting it. I spent the day soaking up some last hours with the girls before they start school on the 25th and the 3rd (preschool for Audrie). Just took long moments looking at their sweet faces, trying to ingrain them in my memory. I am looking forward to the new school year starting, but also seeing them get so big takes my breath away. Have you done this lately--really LOOKED at your children and studied their faces? wow.....

TIP: If you sew on your cards and you accidently make a crooked line, go over it again with another more squiggly line and it will look like you "meant to do that".
(I wonder how I know this one?)
