GLUE Greatness!

I LOVE IT!! Since we've been on a little vacation from doing design work for Glue Art and Paper Studio, and since Jen and I love to do papercrafty "things" other than cards, we challenged each other to make something anyway with these fun products from GLUE (not yet available on the website, but soon to be!). Yesterday, when I started this project, I really wasn't sure where it was headed. Shelbie (my 16 year old) just got back from Pensacola, FL and I was truly in hopes of doing something with some of the pictures she took there and making this something beachy and fun for her to remember her trip by. However, the ones she took just didn't turn out all that well (those darn disposable cameras), so there went that idea. Then I remembered some pictures I just took of all our girls and decided to use those instead and make a little accent piece featuring all three of them! I love how "scrappy" it turned out and it really was a blast to make! (I did paint the silly thing three times until I finally settled on this pink--that's why this post is a little late in coming, not to mention the emergency trip I had to make to the store for toilet paper, and to tell you the truth, the paint is still tacky in this photo! ssshhhhh!!!) I used mostly some dimensional stickers I picked up at Target (I am still in love with anything K & Company, but my other love is Making Memories and Target has a plethora of it!). I also pulled out some of my favorite Kim Hughes stamps from Cornish Heritage Farms (have you seen the latest ones?--don't look if you like cute stuff because you will want them!).Anyway, the Vertical Album is the 6" x 8" style and the little pieces for the pictures are called Photo Links (I think). They are simple little masonite pieces with slots in them so you can string them together any way you like. (I stole Jen's picture--I forgot to take one.) I can totally see a garland with letters on it for Christmas or something like that! You can even make cute little photo books with them. These were my last and only 4 I had, so I will definitely be getting some more! Or stealing more from Jen also. I hope you like it--it's absolutely unique, but really ME!! If you have any questions about it, feel free to email me! Or just email me anyway just to say HI!

TIP: You can't staple into masonite. Don't even try it.

Stamps: Sweet Thang, Hugs and Kisses (Kim Hughes Collection from CHF)
Paper: Chocolate Chip, Pumpkin Pie (SU!), Daisy Fancy Botanicals (Fancypants Designs)
Ink: Palette Noir (Superior), Pink Passion, Pixie Pink (SU!), Berry Sorbet (Papertrey)
Accessories: Hullabaloo Dimensional Stickers (Making Memories), Orange Ric Rac, Brown Striped Twill Ribbon, Dimensionals, Stardust Stickles, Vertical Album Holder (GLUE), Lisa Pink Acrylic Paint (Delta)
