A {Fufferfly} Sketch For You To Try

What, you've never heard of a "fufferfly"? That's what Jen's daughter, Ellie (who just turned 2 and is having a big birthday party today!) calls butterflies! So since I did this card for Jen's Sketch for You To Try today, I just had to appropriately name it as Ellie would say it--Fufferfly! It was an interesting sketch and I'm not completely pleased with how I interpreted it, but I do know that I love this butterfly (ahem, fufferfly) stamp! It's another one from the set, Butterfly Garden from Storage Units, Ink and More. I just love her little face! I knew I wanted to make the circle on this card have scallops and use some new paper I picked up at the National Scrapbook Convention in Arlington a while back. It's by American Crafts--only my favorite company!!! So yesterday was an exhausting day, highlighted by going out to lunch with Jen and Shannan and lots of errands and a trip to the mall last night..so now I've got a twinge of a headache and I HAVE to feel better as today will be just as challenging--2 birthday parties!! Wish me luck!

Fun news: Amy Rohl will now be doing samples every Saturday for Jen's SFYTT (your keyword for uploading to SCS). So try this one out, but first check out the sketch and her guest designer, Jessica Rone's creation over on Jen's blog, then mosey on over to Shannan, Carole, Amy Sheffer and Amy Rohl's blogs for more inspiration! Now how am I going to differentiate between the 2 Amy's every week? This may get dicey!

TIP: Make a bow out of a seperate piece of ribbon and just attach it with a glue dot. Sometimes if you can't get them just right, this will work better for you.

Stamps: Butterfly Garden (Storage Units Ink)
Paper: Real Red, Bashful Blue (SU!), Papertrey White, Lime Green Core'dinations, Spring and Summer Crumpets (American Crafts)
Ink: Palette Noir (Superior)
Accessories: Large Scallop Circle Nestabilities, Cuttlebug, CM Circle Cutting System, Red/White Gingham Ribbon, Dimensionals, Sewing Machine/Red Thread, Cropadile, White Eyelets, Red Stickles, Glue Dot, Copic Markers
