Back to School {Sneak Peek}!

Yep, in less than a month, our kids will be back to school. Even harder to believe is that my cute little 4 and a half year old will be starting Pre-K! A long, long, long, long, LONG time ago, my goal was to become a preschool teacher. It never happened, and that's ok, because I really don't think I would have had the patience for it, especially now that I'm older (my own kids are hard enough to keep up with!). However, I still love all the fun little school stuff for the classrooms! I love going to teacher stores and seeing all the cute little apples with happy faces on them and neat stuff that teachers use, so when Denise told me about a school set about to be released from her company, Storage Units, Ink and More, called A Touch of Class (AUG. 1st), I knew I wanted to use it right away and did not hesitate to make a sneak peek card for ya'll to see! I've had this one done for a couple of weeks now, and it's been super hard not showing ya'll!
I love the way it turned out with the torn paper hills, a touch of sewing, the little school bus with Crystal Effects on the windows and brads on the wheels and the handmade apple tag! I tried my hand at making clouds for the first time, too! I love the sentiment and I just added the "handwriting paper" lines with a couple of CM fine-tip pens. I think this would make a cute card to give to Audrie's new teacher!

TIP: Add "handwriting paper" by drawing lines above, through (dashed and red or blue) and below a sentiment when making a school-themed card.

Stamps: A Touch of Class (SUINK and More)
Paper: Real Red, Yoyo Yellow (SU!), Papertrey White, Garden Party (Making Memories), Chalkboard (Provo), Lime Green (Core'dinations)
Ink: Palette Noir (Superior), Ballet Blue, Wild Wasabi (SU!) Accessories: White Gel Pen, Crystal Effects, Sewing Machine and Thread, Sponges, Red Satin Ribbon, Cuttlebug Tags Die, Copic/Prismacolor Markers, Dimensionals, CM Fine-tip Red and Black Pens, Scallop Circle Punch, 1 3/8 Circle Punch, Ruler, Black Brads, Red Brads

Keep up the good work (however, card making is really not work -- it's FUN)!
