A {Sugary Sweet} Sketch For You To Try

Saturday is finally here and you know what that means! It's time for Jen's A Sketch For You To Try! I have to admit, I put this one together fairly quickly as I realized that yesterday was Friday and today was about to be Saturday at about 10 PM last night and I had yet to make a card for today! But you have to forgive me on that one after the kind of day I had! A birthday party in the morning, lunch out with the girls, a trip to the store and another birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese that evening wears this 41 year old mommy out!! So needless to say, this isn't my favorite card. However, I will still post it because my "trash" may be someone else's treasure and they may just fall in love with it! (And it won't hurt my feelings if you don't! Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, right?) So no coloring, just straightforward stamping with one of my favorite sets from Kim Hughes (Hi Kim!) of Cornish Heritage Farms called Sweet Thang. I wish I could afford to get so many of her other ones--they just keep getting better and better! I plan to get mucho stamping done today as it's the first "free" Saturday we will have had in a LONG time! I used Amy Rohl's favorite card size-- 3.25" x 6.5" (Hi Amy!), but I have to say it was a tight squeeze to load all this stuff on there! Now, blurf on over to see Carole, Amy and Shannan as they will probably have better pickin's than me today! This was an easy sketch to follow and I plan to use it again today. Why don't ya'll play along? Upload your cards and creations using keyword SFYTT on Splitcoast, and I'll check them out later in the week! Lots coming this week, so stay tuned!!!

Wow, can you believe this parade of SNEAK PEEKS has come to an end?!! The final designer to show off her fabulous creation is DAWN EASTON! She totally rocks, so I am sure she won't disappoint you! Take a peek at her blog and sign up to get your hands on the set she uses before anyone else does with her blog candy post! Don't forget that the Storage Units, Ink and More store will be open for business on July 1st! I can't wait to show you what else I've made with these fun new stamp sets! Then I can't wait to see what YOU do with them once they become available!!

TIP: I may have said this before, but for this card, it was just a no brainer to me! Use plain ol' Scotch tape to affix ribbon to the backs of card bases and panels. It's way faster and more reliable than waiting for glue to dry and hoping it sticks to the paper and not your fingers.

Stamps: Sweet Thang (Cornish Heritage Farms)
Paper: Close to Cocoa (SU!), Papertrey White, The Goods (American Crafts)
Ink: Rose Romance, Close to Cocoa, Chocolate Chip, Real Red (SU!)
Accessories: Dotted Ribbon (American Crafts), Cuttlebug Swirls Embossing Folder, Dimensionals, Rose Romance Marker (SU!), Cinnamon and Icicle Stickles
