Get Your Verve On!

Ok, so here is "part" of what I have been up to lately!! Verve just released 4 new stamp sets and a new line of stamps called Plain Janes. The Plain Janes are just one verse or quote all by itself, but still in the most beautiful fonts! You've already seen my preview of Asian Flair, but here's a little taste of the other sets! You are going to love them! Be sure and head over to the Verve Store for a full look at what all they come with!

Plain Jane-Delight (Psalm 37:4)

Since I am showing so many cards this time, if you would like a list of supplies, here's a link to my gallery over at Verve, where you can find all of these cards and more (wink!) and all the "stuff" I used on them! I'll try not to do that too often, I'm just super tired after hardly no sleep last night with the power outage and kids that were afraid of the dark! Enjoy!!

The Sneak Peeks at Storage Units, Ink and More are sadly almost over. But you've just got to run over and see what KENDRA GILES has done and take a stab at winning her blog candy!! Only a few more days and the SU INK and More store will be open for business and ya'll can RUN and order all these fun new sets and a WHOLE LOT MORE!!!

TIP: Use a large, self-healing cutting mat on your work surface. This way, you always have a place to use your X-acto knives and if you use the CM cutting system, you don't need to pull out your mat every time you need to cut a cirle or oval. It works! I have one just like this 18x24" size from Fiskars , but it doesn't fold in half (that I bought when I thought I'd try machine quilting--not enough immediate gratification). It's also really handy for measuring stuff. Then on top of that I use Stampin' Up's Grid Paper as a mat to stamp on, sketch on, stamp off, write notes, make sure things are lined up straight, etc.! I actually love to look at my "grafitti-covered" paper when it gets really full and dirty! Wanna see a picture?

  1. Great samples, Susan. Love them...especially the one with the bird and buttons. I love that layout and your coloring is fantastic!
