Eat Some Cake and Take a Break

Oh my goodness! Where has this week gone? I know I've been busy keeping my girls busy and working on some major new release stuff for Verve Visual, My Favorite Things and Storage Units Ink & More (have you already signed up for the Motherload giveaway?)!! We are talking stamping all day and into the night for a few days in a row now!! Sorry I can't show ya'll yet, but be prepared for an eyefull here in the next week or so! I thought I'd share a little surprise my mom had made at Market Street bakery for my twin sisters' birthdays this past Saturday. She was soooo excited because she didn't tell anyone that she had done it, so the "big reveal" was really cool!! Do you remember THIS CARD i made for MFT's June stamp release a couple of weeks ago and how when I made it, it was reminding me of Nancy and Sara when they were babies? Well, don't ask me how, but they put it on the cake!! It was really cute--My Favorite Things on my favorite thing--CAKE!!! Couldn't get any better!
So hey, I stumbled across a project I did for that same release that I never showed ya'll on my blog here (I think I uploaded it to SCS?--I'll have to go back and check). It's using the Annie LaPoint image, Take a Break.
It was so fun to color and embellish. I colored it with my Prismacolor and Copic Markers, then added Stardust Stickles to the flowers and Crystal Effects to parts of the tub. I just love how this little gift set turned out! (Container and Shower gel from the Dollar Tree--can't beat that!) I'll be back a little later on Friday for Celebrate MFT Day! There's actually a June release stamp set I hadn't used yet! Can you guess which one?

TIP: Eat some cake. Take a break.

  1. I LOVE THIS SUSAN! This is just fabulous!!!

  2. what a precious cake! check out the one my BFF made me here - she had the digital photos printed at a place that had a printer with edible ink (bet that's how she did it) LOVE your Take a Break candy dish too!

    most special birthday cake ever

  3. I so enjoyed presenting this surprise to all three of my daughters -- Susie, the designer; and Nancy and Sara the birthday girls!!! Everyone who knows me knows that it is very difficult for me to hold something back in order to surprise someone -- and you combine that with THREE people to be surprised -- that was an AMAZING feat!!! I'm glad it turned out and I think that Market Street did a WONDERFUL job ... besides that it was YUMMY IN THE TUMMY!! Happy birthday girls and good going on the stamping!!
