Verve Visual May Sneak Peek!

May 15th is fast approaching and that's the day when Verve Visual introduces 4, yes you heard me---FOUR new stamp sets that you are going to LOVE!! If you've been reading the Verve blog, you know the first 2 are Floral Whimsy and Filigree Fantasy that both
have fantastic potential for some great stamping fun! The next two sets are called Petals and Stems and Fluttering By. So for my sneak peek this month, I chose to do a project instead of a card. I actually made this simple and quick little gift card holder for my mom for Mother's Day and used the new Verve set called Petals and Stems to create a band to hold it shut (check HERE for great instructions, I just varied it with a belly band). It's a great floral set with many possibilities including layering different sizes of these fun and hip flowers, not to mention it includes this sweet sentiment--one of my favorites ever! The flowers are super easy to cut out, so this is a great set to get your vervacious 3-D flower mojo going!! I bet you can guess what the Fluttering By collection includes (I'll have more samples to show you what I did with that one and the other sets on Friday)! Check out the Verve blog today to see more exciting samples by Jen and Carole using Petals and Stems and Fluttering By (how did that happen?).
Here's something even more exciting!!---one of these new stamp sets could travel all the way to YOUR house and you could get all cozy with it! Just comment on each sneak peek post over on the Verve blog for your chance to win one of the new sets!

Today (Thursday), Jen and I are going to Michael's in Southlake (it's supposedly better that "ours") and then I hopefully will have time to get to the store for some diapers to start working on my second tutorial ever, answering all of your questions regarding how to make that Diaper Cake I made HERE. It follows my first stunning tutorial HERE, when I put the "straw" in strawberries! I've had an overwhelming response to the Diaper Cake and I feel like this is the best way to communicate the directions en masse! However, my friend, Jessie undertook a big project and made two of them this week and has them posted on her blog HERE! They look amazing! If ya'll will just give me a couple more days to get it together and also take care of some other blogging obligations for Friday and Saturday, I will try and post it all on Sunday or Monday, ok?

As far as my Summer Schedule mentioned in the post below, I've probably lost a few of you already with this being the longest post evah, so I will save it for one of my posts in the next couple of days, (probably Saturday) and pair it up with Jen's Sketch For You to Try. Thanks for your inquiries about that as well!

Oh and by the way, as long as I am "link-happy" today, I WON the MFT Guest Designer Spot with THESE ENTRIES and got my new stamps for their June release today....Can you say wooOHoOOO!! They are super fun!!!

  1. Dang but you've done it again!!! Love the colors and this is such a cool gift-card holder! I'm definitely going to be CASEing this fabulous project! You still haven't told me what's in your water... : )

  2. You are one talented lady!! I love the gift card holder for your mom...the diaper cake...the strawberry tutorial ;)...the doggy duty spatula ("I have a leetle geeft for you" gift set - yes, I'm weird, but I didn't make that one up; it's a line my kids remember and recite from time to time from "Homeward Bound II" -lol)...and the spring apron card too! (Let's see, did I forget to comment on anything else that you linked us to? lol) BTW, your commentary is hilarious! tfs, and congrats on winning the MFT guest designer -- you definitely earned it!

  3. You are hysterical, and I love it!! Beautiful, and I will be anxiously awaiting the arrival of my gift card, LOL! Good luck with the diaper cake tutorial!!

  4. You are too funny!!! This is gorgeous!!!
