A {Thoughtful} Sketch For You To Try

Hi everyone! Happy Saturday to ya! As you read this, I am at the Arlington, TX SCS Stamp Day!! woooOHOOoooOO!!! Jen came over last night and we worked on getting our 45 card kits cut and as we were talking, Jen made me promise I would still have a sketch post for all of you to see for her weekly Sketch For You To Try! I had already done it, actually, while I was trying to figure out a card for the swap. Yes, I waited until the last minute! I can SO relate to Carole when she told of her story of waiting until the last minute (dread) of getting everything she needed to get done for her Bunco (been there, done that, too for 21 years!)! That is so me, too!! And it's not like I don't like doing any of it or anything, it's all easy stuff to get done. Apparently I work well under pressure, but it really is a sickness! This card is similar in color and I used the same stamp set, Kind Thoughts on it as my final pick for my swap card. It's really pretty, I think and I'll show you it next week. That's becoming one of my favorite SU! sets right now--I just got it! So even though you couldn't join us in Texas today to stamp, you can still play along with our Sketch For You To Try! Be sure to stop by Amy's blog for sure and check to see if Carole and Shannan had the gusto to still do the sketch as well! (If they didn't, try them again on Sunday!) Wish me luck making 45 cards in no less than ten hours! What a workout!

TIP: Use fun swirly stamps all over to create patterned paper.

Stamps: Kind Thoughts (SU!)
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Old Olive
Paper: Chocolate Chip, Old Olive, Bashful Blue, Whisper White
Other: Horizontal Slot Punch, Silver Brad, Paper Piercer/Mat Pack, Dimensionals, Chocolate Chip Grosgrain Ribbon, Giga Scallop Square Punch, CM Square Punch

  5. I love this, Susan! Great colors. I like the pierced "trail" and the popped up and bejeweled butterfly. I also like the way you brought your ribbon up through the background panel. Beautiful!
