A {Girly} Sketch For You To Try

Happy Saturday!! It's time for another helping of Jen's Sketch For You To Try! My last post featured a Bella and this time these little girlie girls are also from Stamping Bella. They are part of their newest line of stamps and I just love them! Maybe they are the Bella girls before they grew up!?! This one in particular reminded me of my younger daughters, Audrie and Lindsie, so I just had to grab it up!
I am loving coloring with all sorts of mediums. This one is colored with my Prismacolor Pencils and Odorless Mineral Spirits for the blending and shading. Click on the picture for a more rockin' view of the coloring...tooting my own horn, but I think I did a good job of it! (I used GP White, but fyi, a smoother white like SU's is better for this method.) Next, I would like to try Jody's Drunken Watercolor Technique! As you probably have noticed, I'm not much of a "technique junkie", but with my background in painting, I am all over new methods of coloring! And who'da thunk that way back when I first started stamping, I only wanted "solid" images as I didn't like to color and thought it was a waste of time!! Um...eating those words!!! Anyway, sample some more creative uses of this sketch by visiting my buds, Carole, Amy, Joanne, and Shannan, then make your own work of art and upload it to SCS using keyword, SFYTT. We wanna see! We wanna see!!!
Don't forget to check back for my fun announcement coming soon!

TIP: Make a circular focal point more interesting by cutting the circle smaller than the stamped image, leaving parts overhanging. Detail cut this part with scissors. This totally doesn't make sense unless you look at the picture! Sorry!
