Hello Friend!

Well, I think I am back in business after being down a couple days off and on without a computer, phone and TV. The AT&T guy (cable guy) came and installed a fiber optic line wireless network for our house and at the same time, installed UVerse digital TV. It's all great--the computer runs ultra fast now (we had DSL and it was fast, but this is better!), and we have about 4000 TV channels and DVR (it's like the Jetsons, being able to see the future). It's all new to me. You see, I have never personally had cable or satellite or any of that--EVER! (I know!!) Once, a Dish Network guy came to our door, selling his stuff and he didn't understand me when I said, 'I watch FREE TV'!! I think he thought we were pirating from someone else's hookup!! He had never heard of such a thing, the punk! So, the whole digital TV thing is free for a month, so we will see what happens. It's on right now, and guess what we're watching? Regular channels!! I don't watch a lot of TV as it is (although I am so sad that Boston Legal may not be renewed), but I am a little scared of getting "hooked" on all the HGTV, DIY and Style Network Reality shows! I don't have time to watch TV!! Oh, and I already broke the remote and had to call today to get it re-programmed! I don't know about all of this HI-TECH stuff (say that with your best Texas drawl!)!! Anyway, it's been several days since I've had a date with my stamps, but here is a simple little card (from simple little me) to just say "Hello" again that I made a couple of weeks ago. I used my new Stampendous Hello Chick stamp I got from eP a while back. I think it's so cute!!! So after my haircut tomorrow, I plan on stamping the rest of the day...NO TV!!! NO TV!! NO TV!!

TIP: Draw little zig-zaggy tufts of grass in with markers to "ground" your image.

Stamps: Stampendous Hello Chick
Ink: Palette Noir
Paper: Wild Wasabi, Whisper White, DP from Basic Grey and Nana's Nursery-DCWV
Other: Ticket Corner Punch, Dimensionals, Wide Red Grosgrain Ribbon, Prismacolor and Copic Markers

  1. That card is so cute, love the green! And congrats on entering the digital age. :-) I don't watch *a lot* of tv either, but for the shows I do watch - there is NOTHING BETTER THAN A DVR (or in my case, my BFF Tivo!!)!! I seriously could not live without it. Ok that sounds a little pathetic - but I do believe it gives me *more* time to stamp bc I never watch commercials and I never channel surf! :-)
