A {Buggy} Sketch For You To Try

Today is Saturday and that means time for Jen's A Sketch For You To Try! Da, da-da DA!! I got out a set that I haven't used that much, thanks to a new friend I made on Splitcoast today amid doing a bit of "horse-tradin'". Hi Nancy (Phantom on SCS)!! We recognized each other from the My Favorite Things release party online the other night (what a "twisted" time that was!) and just had a lovely chat back and forth. She also realized I had made a card way back when using this same set that "enabled" her to get it for herself and she made a nice comment about it. Couldn't get these bugs out of my mind after that, and knew this was what I wanted to use for today's sketch. Then took a look-see in the gallery for a little inspiration and saw Michelle Giraud's (flaxychick) card HERE, fell in love, and started from there! I also used a teensy teensy heart outline from my new exclusive Stampendous set, Hey There Cupcake from Eclectic Paperie. I REALLY wanted a chipboard heart instead of the chipboard frame which I also got from them, but had NOTHING I could use short of cutting one out of a cereal box (which I have done before), but being since this card was already taking way too long to make (3 hours...shhh!), I took the easy way out and just stamped a heart in the middle of the circle and colored it in a light shade of red with a prismacolor pencil. I loved making this card all dirty looking, by sponging just about every edge! You can't see it, but I also cuttle"bugged" the brown layer with the Hearts Embossing Folder (remember you can click on the picture for up close and personal details!).

Be sure to check out all my friend's blogs who are at CHA this weekend for further inspiration--Shannan and Carole (be sure and check out her Rolls Royce Washer and Dryer setup--SA-WEET!!). Bethany Paull is joining us as well as Jen's February Guest Designer! Use SFYTT in your keywords on SCS so I can pop in and see what you've been up to!

Today I am helping a sweet friend of mine host 12 co-ed college students at her house all weekend, that are training to go into the mission field. Luckily, she has a whole upstairs for them to take over and sleep in, but when we went and bought all the food they will need for the weekend--OH MY!! I hope we don't run out of milk!!! Wish us luck and that we will do our best in serving them while they figure out the best way for each one of them to serve the Lord.

TIP: "Re-arrange" a sentiment stamp by just inking each word seperately with a marker and positioning it as needed to fit.

Stamps: Bugs and Kisses, All in a Row, Canvas BG, Hugs and Kisses (CHF), Hey There Cupcake (Stampendous from Eclectic Paperie--it's the teeny teeninesy heart stamp!)
