smARTworks Cardy Party!

Time for another sketch challenge from the Smart Cookie Design Team over at smARTworks! This time, Trish hosted it and came up with a super fun and versatile sketch, giving "brownie points" if you use a "dimensional" embellishment somewhere on the card.
I was a little pressed for time and didn't really have any smARTworks stamps fitting for the main panel of the card (besides my wreath stamp and I'm a little "done" with it for now--more to show with it later), so I decided to make a "smaller" version of the sketch. How cool to use a sketch for an ATC!! You must try it! Later, I plan to turn this into an actual card (when it grows up to be a real card), as I usually only make ATC's for swaps (more to come on that a little later, too!). It was sure fun to do and took no time at all! See some actual cards made with the sketch throughout the day by my fellow DT members: Trish, Dina, Susan T., Donna, and Heidi! Stay tuned--still lots to show

P.S. It has been asked what page the "Remembering" sentiment from my previous post is on in the smARTworks catty (sorry to michellesg-I couldn't find a link to your email on your blog!)'s on pg.60 and the Wreath set is on pg.36. I will try and remember to add these notations when using smARTworks stamps since the online catalog is a little "tricky" to navigate!

TIP: Make some ATC's using a card sketch--a little bitty "canvas" has big possibilities, and then turn the ATC into the focal panel of a card.

Stamps: Birdie Bitties (p.86), Oh Happy Day (p.71) by smARTworks
Ink: Palette Noir, More Mustard, Real Red
Paper: Real Red, YoYo Yellow, Whisper White, DP by Daisy D's
Other: Prismacolor Markers, CM Black Fine tip pen, Blue Prima flower, Yellow brads, Corner Rounder, Ribbon from Michael's, Dimensionals, Sponges

  1. Very nice - I think you're the only that actually did use a dimensional embellishment. I've only made a couple ATCs, but have to admit they were fun.

  2. I love it! Gonna make a great card someday when it grows up! Love your new banner too!

  3. Very cute, Susan! That little birdie makes me smile every time I see it.

  4. What? It can't be a gift card? I love it! That bird is the CUTEST!

  5. Cute ATC. I may have to try this sketch soon. BTW, I added you to my "inspirational blogs" list. I hope you don't mind.

  6. this is such a cute card Susan and I love that little birdie! :)

  7. OMWord!! This is so cute!! I really do like that birdie!!!
