I Did Monday's Try a New Technique Challenge!

I can't believe I actually was able to play in the SCS Challenge for Monday! It's the Try a New Technique Challenge and this week's was to make a Pixie Pocket. Before seeing the challenge, I had never heard of this before. I thought it would be something really miniature, being a "pixie", but what they meant was it was designed to hold Pixie Stix. You know those straws of sugary goodness that the kids never know how to eat without them getting clogged up immediately upon mouthal (is that a word?) entry? I was not about to go buy some of those and have to deal with that, so isn't chocolate always the answer? It fits this Hershey bar quite nicely. Now let's see how long it stays there!! Oh, and by the way, I don't think I've seen one with the window cut out of it yet on SCS. YAY--I had an original idea!!! (imagine that.) Other ideas for inserting in the pocket are pencils, pens, suckers or gum! What are yours? I still can't believe I cut that mouse completely out, including his tail!! I think I need my eyes checked now!!

TIP: When cutting such detail, I highly recommend Cutter Bee Scissors--super sharp and cut all the way to it's tiny tip for great tiny cutting. Remember to guide the paper through the scissors, not the scissors through the paper.

Happy Heart Day, Tiny Heart (Rubber Soul)
