Happy Birthday to Me (the Princess)!!

Well, today the Princess (me)is a year older!! I had a fun day today! Started the day with a Sugar-free Mocha (yes, they have that now) Skinny Iced Latte, then saw my girlfriends at church, then my friend Cristel, her daughter, Eva and Audrie and I went to lunch together (thanks, Cristel!), hung out at home for a bit, and later went for some birthday dinner at a fun restaurant called Palio's in Colleyville for a little pasta! Just came home and had a slice of Chocolate Cream Pie...what a day!!! I HAVE to start my diet again tomorrow!!! However, this was birthday extravaganza number 2!! Sunday, my mom had a "stamping thing" at her house which was actually just a coverup for a surprise birthday party for me!! (Hi Sarah, Sherry and Connie!) I had to show ya'll the pictures of the incredible cake my mom got for me from a cake place over in Hurst called Creative Memories. She took a screen print of my blog and they made a cake using my blog banner! It was absolutely the funnest thing ever!! Even Eric got in on the birthday bonanza and made a card all by himself!! He even said he used "that cleaner thing" to make sure my stamp was clean before he put it back! He totally told me he has a new appreciation for the skills it takes to make a card as he said he had trouble getting it to look straight. awwwww!!!!! (sorry for the yucky scan. I am being lazy with it!)

I took some requests from ya'll from my two previous posts regarding your ideas for a new weekly feature that I want to implement on my blog. Didn't get many, but here is what was suggested:

1. Sharon in NE said I needed to have a "make a card to send to Sharon in NE" day. I like that one and I do need to send more RAKS! ummmm...
2. Cassie had a couple of ideas and said to have a "What made me smile this week" day, being something I may have seen and liked. She also suggested a Doubletake Tuesday, basically "revamping" and revving up a card I had already made.
3. Angie Pearl offered up an "Out of the Box/Not my Bag" idea, to do a new technique or something a little out of my style zone every week.

Well, I'm still not sure what to feature weekly, as there are "issues" I have with all the suggestions, especially #1--teehee!! (nothing major, but I don't know a lot of techniques and am not sure I would be able to "revamp" one of my cards--that sounds very challenging!)!!! So what I might do is do a combination of several of the ideas here and come up with something fun in that sense. However, I have had a significant positive response to the TIPS on each post, so don't worry, I plan to continue that!!! I've even seen other bloggers start this as well, even since I have started!! I love it and got my idea for it from Kim Hughes, my friend over at Paper Hugs (waving!!!). All that said, all three of you girls deserve a little something for taking time to think about me and comment on my blog regarding this idea. I truly appreciate it! Sharon in NE, Cassie and Angie Pearl, email me with your address, and I will get a treat out to you asap!!! I'll be back tomorrow with something crafty to show ya'll and another TIP or two at least!!
