Coming Soon....

This is just a quickie post-- thought I'd share with you the finished Pottery Barn spinning Rolodex I did up with my growing collection of ATC's. It came with the nice alphabet tabs on top, so I just filed them according to artist.
It's pretty full, but could take on a few more cards. They are stuck on there with repositionable double sided tape and I have not had any problems with them falling out! I have it on my desk and look at it a lot for inspiration or to clear my mind before getting started to stamp and create. Sometimes, I just spin it really fast for no reason at all. Then, sometimes, I just look at it while I spin really fast in my chair! (just making sure you're paying attention!) It's just fun!

The ATC shown is one I did for a swap hosted by Taylor back in December. I think it's my favorite ATC I've made so far!

I am working on a (fairly small, but worthy) list of stamps and supplies I need to sell (so I can get some new specimens to experiment with), so stay tuned!! They will be cheap and will hopefully go fast!!

Also, don't forget to submit your idea for a weekly feature here on my blog for a special treat from me! I have decided to leave the comments on this open until tomorrow night, since it's my birthday tomorrow (or today, if you are reading it Wednesday the 30th!) and it will be sort of like a little birthday present from me to you and vice versa! Feel free to suggest a cheesy name for it as well! I'm all about the cheese!!

TIP: Spin in your chair to clear your mind before stamping. Or just to get that fun dizzy feeling. Is now a good time for me to send you the "How's That Workin' For Ya?" card from a couple of posts below?

Stamps: Holiday Treats (Papertrey), Polka Dot BG from SU
Ink: Palette Noir, Close to Cocoa, Craft White
Paper: Real Red, Kraft, Whisper White
Other: Ribbon from JoAnn's, Jingle Bell, Kite String, Dimensionals, SU Scallop Circle Punch, 1/2" Circle Punch

  1. Happy Birthday Susie! I love this idea! What a great way to store ATC's.
I tried the spinning thing and it didn't clear my mind, but it might clear my tummy! Hee hee! Just kidding! It made me laugh though!

  6. Now I LOVE your tips...except that last one about spinning in the chair. That one did NOT work for me. Can't you just stick with that? Tips from Texas? or Tips from Trixie Or Thoughts from Thelma...guess you'd have to change your name to Thelma, but I figure you wouldn't mind. I should have probably thought this out before spinning. A weekly segment of "this is the card that I am making for that wonderful girl in NE". (that would be ME of course). Love that idea. Kind of a long name. Could just go with "Thelma makes cards for that wonderful Sharon in NE". maybe I should lie down.

  9. LOl! I wish I could spin my chair, but I don't have one. I sit on the floor! Am I the only one? I love your ATC holder. Maybe you could do a weekly ATC sketch? I am horrible about doing ATC's but I'd love to. Any inspiration would be great! Any tips to get me going?

  10. Belated Happy Birthday!!! Your post totally cracked me up! Your cake is too cute, that rolodex is fabulous, and I LOVE the idea of spinning in my chair before I stamp! As a matter of fact, I just spun around before I typed this last sentence! :)
