10 Things I Love About the Holidays Album

Remember that cute dress form I did a little while back? If not, see it HERE! That was a fun project, but by far, I think this was even more fun to make! It's our latest Design Team Project for Glue Art & Paper Studio.
It's a 12x12 Vertical Album that has endless possibilities! This one is titled "10 Things I Love About the Holidays". I had planned on making a "title" page for it today, but some old friends dropped in unexpectedly and my plans got changed (also why this is such a late post!), but it made for a wonderful visit with them! I will try and get that done in the next few days and post it here then. The vertical album is made by Glue Art & Paper Studio and comes in 8x8 and 6x6 form as well. I have both of those sizes headed my way this week, along with a few other surprises, for some other GREAT projects you won't want to miss! I can't wait for that HAPPY MAIL!! The frame of the album is very well made and is wooden.

I decided to stain it, as I wanted it to have a warm feel to it to match my living room (it's that nice of a product!) so I can be sure and display it during the holidays next year or for whatever else I decide to display according to the season. You do need to purchase some sort of scrapbooking page protectors to slide your pages into unless you punch holes directly through your pages (I don't think I would like that, personally). I chose to use the ones from Stampin' Up for post-type scrapbooks for the sturdiness and there being holes already available for the rings. The binder rings allow you to keep your albums together when not in use and change it completely out using the same frame for other pages you want to display on another set of rings. I always love to display the latest card I've made in my studio for a few days to admire it. Now, I can totally do this with my scrapbook pages!! Does that make sense? I absolutely LOVE the way this turned out. I had been working on it for several days before I went to Pine Cove for my scrapbooking retreat, so it really got me "in the mood" to scrapbook again, as it seems like I hardly ever get time for that anymore unless I go on a retreat or to a workshop! I totally missed it, but got 23 pages completed while I was gone and completely finished one of Audrie's albums with journaling and everything! Thanks, Glue Art, for the inspiration!! Back to the album--I would so encourage to you check out their website. There are several more ideas there for other types of albums you could create and "hang" on the frame! If your local scrapbook store does not carry these, I believe a few of the stores listed on their site allow for online ordering. If not, I bet you could just call one of them and order over the phone. SO FUN, I guarantee it! Be sure and check out Taylor, Suzy, Becky, Dawn, and Kris's blogs, too for some other awesome ideas for this product! Btw, in case you wanted to know, my title pages for the entire album will be (hopefully, if I can find pictures for each category!): Winter, Traditions, Receiving, Noel, Giving, Decorating, Family, Friends, Crafts, and Baking. Can't wait to share even more cards and projects vewy vewy soon!!

I am not giving a supply list here, as it was an extensive array of supplies that I used. I will say that most of the paper is from the Basic Grey Figgy Pudding line and a little Cosmo Cricket was also used. (These colors and papers mostly matched my decor and the "feel" of the album I was going for.) If you have specific questions about any products you see (click on pics for larger images and more detail--in fact, PLEASE do this! There is so much more detail than these pictures show in this size!), please feel free to email me by clicking "email me" on the right side of this blog!

  3. I love all the detail. The vertical brads and eyelets on the "Traditions" page and the fun "winter" letters on the first page. It's all great.
    I, of course, was trying to figure out what "W" "Z" "O" "N" "G" spells...but that's just me. ;)
