This Card's a Little Sketchy....

I'm not too sure what to make of this card. It's my newest addition to my growing Christmas card collection, as I have decided to not make a mass quantity batch this year of 60 cards. I now have around 10. woo. hoo. I just decided to take a friend's advice (thank you Emily!) and concentrate on handmade gifts rather than handmade cards. Anyway, it's a little sketchy as to whether or not I like it. However, it IS my sample for the Sketch For You to Try for my fab-o friend, Jen at iheart2stamp, and it fits the color challenge CC141 over on SCS--yay! I had this idea for a while to just use these sentiments for the main image. They are both Michael's $1 stamps (one from this year and one from last). So, I used my Stampamajig for the first time--12 times in a row (you can't see the part I cut off of the main panel. It was too big!) I'm a pro at it now! My other new little innovation is that I wanted to use these fun snowflake brads on the "belly band" (that Carole also used on her sketch...great minds think alike!), but I thought mine looked a little plain. So I got my Cropadile out, pulled apart the "legs" to the brad, and punched a hole in the middle. I then added the blingy MM brad through the center and pushed the snowflake legs back together (it sounds a little risque, doesn't it? teehee!) It totally worked! I was so proud of myself---I thought of it all on my own! Someone else may have already had this idea, but I've never seen it, so to me, it's mine! Anyway, I have a friend who is really sick with breast cancer, and I thought this would make a perfect Christmas card for her! I hope you like it and please check out what my friends have done with this easy peasy sketch--Carole and Shannan. Jen also has a great guest designer to introduce, and she has her rendition as well at iheart2stamp! Also, I always visit SCS during the week to see what you've come up with. Be sure and put SFYTT in your keywords over there when uploading so I don't miss your card! It's one of the highlights of my days! Well, today is Lindsie's 7th birthday party. We are going roller skating! Wish me luck that I don't break my leg!
