Summer's End

Yes, it's about to happen--summer is melting into the cooler weather of fall. Just heard on the weather that a cold front will be here tomorrow and the high will only be 82 and not humid at all!! That's a nice change from the sluggish heat we've been having. It rained today, but I am so looking forward to opening all the windows all day and letting the house air out--not to mention the slightly lower electric bill! So that's why I thought this card would be fun to post today. Welcome Fall!! It's done using this sketch from SCS Sketch Challenge 139. Beate over at Fresh & Fun (I'm sure you've heard of her!) featured it on her blog and after I saw this of her's, I just had to give it a try! I used all new rubber (for me) from smARTworks, a base of Chocolate Chip, SU's Pumpkin Pie ink, and a little Soft Sky, Basic Grey and Cosmo Cricket cardstock and paper, and I finished it off with some HP Hardware and Choc. Chip Grosgrain. It's not my favorite ever, but I do like it!!
On another note, I got some new toys! I got a new digital camera (this photo was not taken with it)!! It's just a handheld as I just can't afford the DSLR Body I want (the Sony Alpha--can you hear the angels singing?) just yet. I did get a pretty sweet little camera, though. It's a Sony Cybershot and it's way cool!! I did a little homework on it on this site which I highly recommend before buying any camera. The guy at Best Buy pointed me to it before he let me purchase anything--how cool is that!?! I took my picture of me and my new haircut with it...see me up at the top with my blogger profile! Pretty cute (even without makeup, eh?)!!!
Now for my other new toy---Photoshop CS3 Extended!!! MAN OH MAN!! It's a honkin' nice program!! I haven't even started to really play with it, but as far as I can tell, it must be the mucho loaded up on steroids version of the old Photoshop Elements I had! Now, I just need a little instruction on it, so if any of ya'll out there are pros at it, let me know! Here's your first question...What does rastersizing your picture mean? It sounds just plain mean!!! I'm not sure if I'd ever want to do that to anyone or even a picture or layout..I'm just not that kind of girl! Really, if you know where to point me to for some tutorials or a great book, or if you are an expert and wouldn't mind me shooting you an email now and then if I have a PSCS3 emergency, send it my way! More to come soon.....Happy Stamping!
