Beate's Sketch

I feel terrible (my first summer cold), so instead of stamping, I decided to just blog today. I think I am running a fever as we speak! I know some of you have missed me!! *Wink*!! So here is one of my latest and greatest. The lovely and talented Beate of Fresh and Fun posted a cool challenge back on the first that I just had to try!! She calls it Sketch #4 if you want to go and check it out. She was running a little contest for it, but I never got around to uploading and entering it on her blog. Oh well, but my good friend Shannan of Pink Tulle with Feathers and Sequins won the prize, so congrats, girlie!!! Anyway, onto my card... I don't know why, but it's pretty big, measuring 5.5 inches square. I used a cupcake stamp from Michael's and I paper pieced the paper wrapper for the cupcake, which I thought was pretty clever (wink!)!! I used some Basic Grey paper that I love and an A Muse sentiment and colored over the word with a marker. I like how it turned out! Oh and I colored the cherry with a red prismacolor marker and I used Fruit Punch Stickles on top of it!!! I wonder who will be getting this for their birthday? Hmmmm.....I think I better go lay down and rest up till my Dayquil kicks in. :(

If anything, this should have made you feel better just doing all the bright and cheery stuff. Feel better soon!
