A Set of "Firsts"
I have had the most fun making this little "set" of cards that are just so cute and so "matchy-matchy"!! It was the first time for me to really USE my new Papertrey Green Thumb set besides just playing around with the strawberries that are so fun!! It is also the first time I have ever used clear acrylic stamps. OOOOHHHHH---I LIKEY!!! And lastly, this is the first time I have ever used this color combo! Oh, man, I think it's the best, especially with that Basic Grey paper I have had for-evah!! I made the first card (the one with the watering can) first, just playing around. Then I read over on Emily's blog, Stamping and Stuff, and how she is trying to use up entire sheets of 12x12 paper at a time. So then I made another card and another and another!! I still have about 1/4 of the sheet left and a card on my desk waiting to have some inspiration thrown onto it!! It's really a challenge, but it's pretty fun!! Try it!!
More card info (thought this might be easier since there are 4 cards!):

It's been pretty crazy around here the last few days!! We finally were getting the glass fixed on the Dodge Neon where some kids shot out the driver side back window yesterday. The guy came to the house to replace it, I went out there, and the door on the car would not open (yes, I remembered to unlock it)!! He of course, has to have it open to be able to get the inside panel off to put the glass in. Seriously, this car has a black cloud over it with all the trouble it's given us for the last 2 months!! So glass guy leaves. Good news is that we took it in this morning to a body shop to get the dent fixed from where the teenage neighbor backed into the side of it and the guy there says he can fix the glass at the same time for 2/3 less money! So that was happy!! With all the hail and bad weather we've gotten around here lately (it storms--BIG almost every night while everyone's sleeping--no wonder we are all getting a bit crabby!) it will probably be there a while. We can deal with that. Also, I got a new washing machine delivered yesterday--a Maytag. Awesome. Did the first load and the thing starts vibrating and shaking and squeaking all over the place!! So I had to call the service center (as I was NOT paying to have someone come out) and I have a Maytag repairman that will come out next Wednesday to balance the thing. Will my laundry EVER get done? Also, how come he's booked until next Wednesday? I thought the Maytag repairmen never had anything to do since their machines never break? Food for thought, my friends, food for thought.....
